Engineering Training eering Training school in CTE, Hyderabad is a DGCA approved Training School that is invalved in providing Training to the Engineering Personnel of the Airlines and maintenance organisations, It contains the well established infrastructure with all the facilities ike air-conditioned. modern classrooms, LCD projection systems ete. as per DGCA ] Organisations” by DGCA. Itconducts different types lof technical courses for the employees of Airlines / Maintenance |Organisationsof India and abroad as well as for the ab-initio participants to be engaged in aviation industries. The courses are designed far class- roomtrainingas well as practical training on the aircraft in our fleet of A320 family and others, Also, aircraft simulators are being used for practical training purpose in our CTE campus. Other than aircraft courses, nom-aircraft ‘courses required for aviation industries like Human Factors'etc.are also beingconducted by theTTraining School. ‘After attending the aircraft courses in the school, the Engineering personnel become eligible for acquiring/renewing licencesfapprovals for maintenance of aircraft subject to completion of OGCA requirement. ‘Also the ab-initia participants can obtain the standard qualifications for passing SAMEL for futureeareer in aviation industries. Other than A320 family aircraft, training on other aircraft like A300, 8737-200, ATR42 etc. also can be conducted if requested, with theco- Qperation of the Engineering Training Schools of other basesof Air Indiae.g. Mumbai, Delhiand Kolkata in addition to the school of CTE, Hyderabad, Some standard designed training programme normally being conducted in the school are shown below In appendix ‘A’. Major subjects are Structure, Elect. Power, Hydraulics, Landing Gear, Flight Controls, Pneumatics, Air-Conditioning. Pressurization, Fuel System, Auto Flight Control, Navigation, CFDS, EIS, 'ADIRS, ice & Rain Protections etc. All the subjects are being covered by 4 phases, 2) _V2500Engine Course Duration —: 2% weeks (Class Room Training) + 2 weeks (Practical Training) Syllabus : All the systems. of 2500 Engine aireraft as per the syllabus approved by DGCA. Major subjects are as : Mechanical arrangement. Eleet. Power, Fuel System, FADEC, ‘Thrust reverses, Oil System, AirSystern, HMS, Starting/ignition, APU(GTCP36 300), Fire Protection, etc. All the subjects are being covered by 2 phases. 3) CFM6S EngineCourse Duration : 2 weeks (Class Room Training) + 1 week (Practical Training). Syllabus : All the systems of CFMS6. Engine as per the syllabus approved by DGCA. Major subjects are as = Mechanical arrangement, Elect, Power, Fuel System, FADEC. Thrust Reverser, Oil System, Air System, Fire Protection, APU(Honey Well 131-54) ‘etc. All the subjects are covered in 2 phases, 4) A320AvionicsCourse Duration : ‘6 veeeks (Class Room Training) + 2veecks (Practical Training). Syllabus All theavionics systems of ‘A320 aireraft along with 2500 / ‘CEMS6 Engineand APU GTCP36-200/ Honeywelll31-98 as applicable. The -sflabus is made as per approval of DGCA.Miajor subjectsare Elect. Power, Hydraulics, Landing Gear, Flight Controls, Pneumatics, Air Conditioning, Pressurization, Fuel System,Auto ight Control, Navigation, EIS, Communications, TCAS, Ice & Rain Protections, Instruments, Fite Protection, Oxygen ‘cA the subjects are being covered in 4 phases. 5) _A319/A321 Vs. A320 Airframe Difference Course: Duration 7 working days {Class Reom Training only) Splisbue Alfthe airframe systems of ASTO/AGZI alerfe which fave any kind of difference from thase of A320 sircraft, The covered subjects are at per the syllabus approved by DGCA. ‘Onlyone phaseis thereforthe course. 6)_A319/A321 Vs. A320 Avionics Difference Course £7 working days (Class Room Tlein ong) Syllabus: All the avionics systems of A319/A321 alrcraft whieh have any kind of difference from A320 aircraft and the differences between the ystems of V2500 engine and CFMS6 ‘engine.Alsothe APU (Honeywell 131 ‘SAV is covered if used in A319/A321 aircraft in place of APU GTCP36-300 used in A320 aircraft. The covered subjects are as per the syllabus approved by DGCA.Only one phaseis ‘there for the course approved by DGCA.Only one phase is there forthe ‘course, B. Refresher Courses - General and Type Aircraft: (1) GeneralRefresherCourse: CivilAviation Requirements Section 2, Series 'L’ Part Vi, Series 'L’ Part X and Series 'L’ Part XIV requires periodic refresher course for holders of AME licences, Approvals and Certificate oF Competency (excluding welders) for any aircraft. Eligibility : Having licence / approval on the Airframe / Engine / Avionics / its ‘camponents Duration : 3 days (for A320 family aircraft Airframelicence/approval) 1 day (for V2500 Engine licence/appraval) 1 ay (for CFM56 Engine licence/appraval) Note:For A320 family aircraftavionics licence/approval holders, the first 3 days (Airframe part) as above andany one or bath of 1 day engine refresher courses as applicable to them are requiredtoattend, Syllabus: Allthe major systems of the aircraft/engine in concise form and the modifications / developments on any component / assembly / sub- system of the aircraft systems as per the guide lines of DCA mentioned in ‘AACNo.B0f 2000. ‘Also, |t covers the repetitive snags and trouble shooting for our fleet aircraft; DGCA Mandatory Modifications issued / revised. Type Aireraft Training Courses forTechnicians: ‘The Trelning Courses on A320 Family (A320, A319 and A321) aircraft are offered for the technicians to work in the field of maintenance,overhaul, Inspection, Testing etc on the said aircraft and/or its components, The courses help for both the Line and major maintenance technicians for their day to day activities and for future career progression. The courses are conducted In the form of Class- f00m training and of practical training. Examinations are being conducted for both class-room training as well as for practical training. 60% marks in aggregate is considered as the pass marksforthe courses, Eligibility Criteria Having the basic knowledge on aircraft/engine/avionics systems with the minimum qualifications and experience as required by the parent company. It is advisable that the technicians should have undergone thebasictrainings on aircraft. For A319/A321 aircraft difference courses, the person must have been trained and worked on A320 alrcraftin similar trade. Else, a full course on the aircraftisrequired. ‘TheOfered Aircraft Courses: 1) A320AirframeCourse: Duration: 2 weeks (Class Room “Tralning) + 1 weeks (Practical Training). Subjects : All the airframe systems of A320 aircraft are covered as: A/c Structure, Electrical Power, Hydraulics, Landing Gear, EFCS, Flaps & Slats, Pneumatics, Air-conditioning, Pressurtzation, entiation, Fuel system, Ice & rain Protection, Water & Waste, Fwd. Air Stair, Oxygen, Ground Handling &Servicinget, 2) V2500/CFMS6 Engine Course: Duration: 1 week (Class Room ining} 1 week Practical Training). Theclass Room training isconductedin phase. Subjects :The Engine system subjects are covered as : Mechanical arrangement, Oil system, Air system, Thrust reverser system, Fuel system, FADEC, Starting & ignition, Fire protection, APU (GTCP36-300 / Honeywell131-8A as applicable), rain, Engine Removal/Installation, Fire Protection,Indications etc,
