Datura Foot Soak by Corvus Greenwood

Whew, I'm a little behind with posts and much has been happening on the poison path here in
N.W. Ohio. I'm going to try and get caught up. First on Autumn Equinox, my sister and I did our
Datura Foot Soak (in the tradition of Curanderos or Native Healers). This is the safest way to
use Datura and it is very healing and therapeutic when used in this manner. First sing to your
plants before you harvest them (use any tune and words, speak from your heart and reveal your
intentions and humility). If you need a healing, convey the nature of your illness/ problems.
Sprinkle cornmeal or other offering before harvesting - this is a critical step for petitioning the
spirit of the plant to act on your behalf. Use a non-steel/iron tool for harvesting. I use my flint
spearhead artifact. Place the harvested Datura in a heat-proof non-metal container; cover with
boiling water and cover with a lid. Let steep for 24 hrs or overnight at room temp. Strain the
infusion (the remaining Datura can be returned to the plants remaining in the garden). You can
reheat the infusion if necessary, before pouring into large bowls. We soak our feet for approx. 1
hour while we drum and chant our Datura prayer. After the soak our bodies feel light as air, as if
we are walking on clouds - body pain is gone. (Even my husband, a non-practitioner gets
involved and enjoys his Datura Foot Soak.😍
