cloud-based knowledge base, do not need to manage systems for each individual data
center. Simply put, regardless of any location, can access a cloud-based knowledge
repository, and have direct access to that information.Cloud-based knowledge
management tool allows quick and easy upgrades. The data stored on a cloud server is
maintained and controlled by a cloud computing provider, such as AWS, Microsoft
azure, Google cloud etc.

personal computers to huge systems that run on mainframes.Organizations use large
amounts of data. A database management system (DBMS) is a software tool that
makes it possible to organize data in a database. The ultimate purpose of a database
management system is to store and transform data into information to support making
decisions.A database management system should be able to store any kind of data. It
should not be restricted to the employee name, salary and address. Any kind of data
that exists in the real world can be stored in DBMS because we need to work with all
kinds of data that is present around us.Data stored in a database is connected with
each other and a relationship is made in between data. DBMS should be able to
represent the complex relationship between data to make the efficient and accurate
use of data.
Data is simply another word for information. But in computing and business data
refers to information that is machine readable as against to human readable .A
program is a set of instructions for manipulating data. And when take data and apply a
set of programs, it get software. In order for a program to perform instructions on data,
that data must have some kind of uniform structure.Technically all of the types of data
above contribute to Big Data. There’s no official size that makes data big. The term
simply represents the increasing amount and the varied types of data that is now
being gathered as part of data collection. Anyone can collect data by observation,
surveying, or experimentation.Observation entails going out and watching for
example, how many cars go through a red light in a certain period of time then record
that data.Surveying refers doing a survey of some type, from going door-to-door to
using media such as mail and the internet. This method can be biased because people
can lie on forms, however it is still widely implemented as probably have taken a
survey before and data collection is usually done with software and manually , and
there are many different data collection procedures, strategies, and techniques. So
why is data collection important? It is through data collection that a business or
management has the quality information they need to make informed decisions from
further analysis, study, and research.

Conclusion
Data collection has several methods and techniques. Collecting data can be for
various purposes. The collection of data refers to a plan for gathering data, information
from field situations. A set of procedure is followed to get the desired data,
information from the field work in geography, to process and analyse the facts in a
logical and scientific manner.
