Based on what I observed during our tour in Department

of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) first is that the
employee that orienting us is so professional and
dedicated to the activity they are assigned to, they show
us how to use several materials used in testing and how
to check the quality of different kinds of pavements ,
sands, rocks, etc. I also learned that testing and checking
the quality of materials used in roads or highways is not
easy, it runs to a many apparatus before using and to
check if it is suited to the place where it will be used.
Second is that there are light and heavy equipment used
and apparatus, and I can tell they are not just a simple
equipments, it cost a lot of money, and these
equipments should also operated by a specific employee
based on their field of knowledge and there are also an
equipment that should be operated by pair to make it
work and synchronize to avoid errors in their work. Lastly
before they start testing and checking the quality of
materials, they washed every items materials and
samples to be used and measure them then weigh so
that they can perform their work without errors or
hindrances.
