Coney Island

It is a colorful peninsula with 60,000 (sixty thousand) inhabitants, located


southeast of Brooklyn and known for its great beaches. Places to see in
Coney Island, everyone can access the park for free, but need tickets to
explore the attractions, places to visit are:

New york aquarium


The only aquarium in New York. You can see many animals, penguins, sea
lions, walruses and sharks in various habitats. There is an Aquatheater where
the sea lions and their trainers perform their show. There is also a three D
cinema with additional sensory effects, four D, the New York aquarium is not
very big, but it is a good place to go with children after a day at Coney Island
beach.

Coney Island Amphitheater


On the Coney Island promenade is the Coney Island Amphitheater, a semi-
covered amphitheater where you can see all kinds of groups and singers
playing. In summer it is especially pleasant, but there are performances
throughout the year.
Since nineteen eighty-three, Coney Island celebrates the beginning of
summer by organizing a parade of sirens. What to expect? Well exactly that:
a parade of thousands of people disguised as a mermaid or any other sea
creature, and the election of the queen and the king of the parade. Although
it is a family event, the Coney Island mermaid parade is celebrated every year
on the first day of summer.

Brighton Beach
Brighton Beach is part of Coney Island. When you visit this part of the city,
you will probably hear more people who speak Eastern European languages
than English. This area is also known as "Little Russia" or "Little Odessa",
because during the years one thousand nine hundred forty and nine hundred
and fifty immigrants from this Ukrainian city arrived at Brighton beach.
