Republic ofthe Philippines Department of Transporation LAND TRANSPORTATION FRANCHISING & REGULATORY BOARD East Avenue, Quezon City MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NUMBER 2019-005 SUBJECT : OPENING OF PUBLIC UTILITY VEHICLE (PUV) ROUTES FOR THE PARANAQUE INTEGRATED TERMINAL EXCHANGE (PITX) AND AUGMENTATION OF EXISTING PUVs SERVING THE TERMINAL ‘WHEREAS, on 18 December 2018, the Department of Transportation (DOT:) issued a Memorandum for the proposed opening of new and developmental routes and augmentation of existing public transportation services that shall cater to the increasing number of commuters from southwest of the Greater Manila travelling to the business districts at the core of Metro Manila and vice versa, on a daily basis; WHEREAS, as a result of the stakeholder consultations and daily monitoring of passenger demand in PTIX, the Department of Transportation proposed to further improve the accessibility in the area and complement the smooth operations of the newly opened Land Port i.e. PITX as developmental routes and additional routes may be authorized; WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 5(a) of Executive Order No. 202, dated June 19, 1987, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) shall have the power “to prescribe and regulate routes of service, economically viable capacities and zones or areas of operation of public land transportation services provided by motorized vehicles, xxxxx”; NOW THEREFORE, the following Public Utility Vehicles (PUV) routes for PITX and additional routes are as follows: PUB ROUTE ROUTE DISTANCE _| NO.
