The figure above represents the conceptual model or framework of the research study.

This is composed of the variables, the process the study will undergo and the expected outcome

of the research.

Under the input is the usage of whitening products, skin fairness, and the perceptions and

judgement of the Filipinos in skin complexion. This will be the identifiers of the correlation

between the other variable. On the other side, the process that will be used is through

questionnaires, survey to the DYCI students and appropriate statistical treatment such as

percentage, mean, and tallied. The output is the knowledge acquisition towards the side effects of

whitening products and the products’ effect on the confidence and self-esteem of a person.

The researchers want to inform the people about the risks of using whitening products and

to make them recognize safer products to unsafe ones as stated on the expected outcome on the

diagram.
