CAPITAL MURDER OF PERSON UNDER TEN YOA PC 19.03

On 06/23/19 at approximately 0726 hours, I, Officer C. Monson #1158 was dispatched to 2624 Peach
Tree Lane, Irving, Dallas County, Texas in reference to an unconscious person. Call notes stated that
a female caller said she believes her sister killed her eight year old nephew by suffocating him with a
pillow. Another call was received from a different female caller claiming she believed her son had
passed away. Officer R. Black #1137 arrived on scene and located the victim, Joevani Delapene, W/M,
11-23-2010. He was found on a bed in a RV bearing TX LP SRA588, in the backyard of the residence.
The victim was deceased. Reporting Party, Maria Garcia, W/F, 03-05-2000, stated that before calling
911, the defendant, Tisha Sanchez, W/F, 09-18-1988, came inside the residence and told her that the
demons told her to sacrifice her son, Joevani and that she needed to forgive her. Maria stated she
went to RV to check on the victim due to her sister's comments and found the victim unconscious on
the bed and called 911. Due to the defendant intentionally or knowingly causing the death of an
individual and the victim being under ten years old, she was arrested for Capital Murder and
transported to the Irving Jail without incident.
