ABSTRACT

Globalization is the procedure of expanded interconnectedness among nations. The

prosperous economic development that is regularly picked up as a result of the expanded

interconnectedness among nations usually results in an improved way of life, and a general

enhanced standard of living. The effective economic advancement of a country depends on its

capacity to globalize. Given that the international integration of national economies has such a

significant impact, borderless world plays a central role in determining the future of the world.

Opening margins that divide nations will eventually spark opportunities suitable for many

citizens, organizations and businesses. Mutual partnership is essential for both systems to

flourish together but due to diversity among humans it is quite challenging to develop a world

where different values co-exist harmoniously. Human beings are ideologically, culturally,

linguistically and economically diverse. It's this diversity which resulted in the world today being

divided into countries that zealously guard their own territory from ideological, cultural and

linguistic influence from the outside. Although declarations or predictions of a borderless world

have become somewhat ubiquitous over the last few decades, borders remain one of the most

basic and visible features of the international system. While it is true that a range of issues, like

environmental change, migration, or international trade, highlight the growing interaction and

interdependence between different places around the world, borders continue to play a central

role in shaping, dividing, and uniting the world's societies, economies, and ecosystems.

Reflecting their significance for scholars across the social sciences, a growing body of

multidisciplinary research has investigated the continuing power of borders in our supposedly

borderless world.
INTROODUCTION

Man is conceived free, yet wherever he is confined. Security fencing, solid dividers, and

firearm-equipped guards watch individuals to the country of their birth. The disputation for open

borders is both moral and economic. All individuals ought to be allowed to move about the earth,

unconfined by the subjective lines known as borders. Not every place in the world is equally

appropriate to mass financial movement. Nature's abundance is partitioned unevenly. Closed

borders aggravate these injustices, solidifying disparity into place and condemning their

casualties to a life of penury.

It is true that freedom of movement is a basic human right. Accordingly, the Universal

Declaration of Human Rights gives a false representation of its name when it broadcasts this

privilege only “within the borders of each state.” Human rights don't stop at the border. No

standard moral structure or some other created point of view sees individuals from foreign lands

as less qualified to practice their rights or as inherently possessing less moral worth than

individuals fortunate to have been conceived in the ideal place at the ideal time. Patriotism,

obviously, rebates the rights, interests, and moral value of people on the other side of the globe.

However this concept is conflicting with the masses’ fundamental moral teachings and beliefs.

A few people on the planet, through no blame of their own, are conceived in a financial

desert, or they're conceived in a place where there's a common war going on. People have

imprisoned them there by building walls, barriers, and sending people with machine guns and

saying that they can’t move. In spite of the fact that no genuine pioneer of a country state would

truly propose the disintegration of national outskirts yet there is authentic point of reference for

such a thought. At the time, the U.S. government was endeavouring to urge pioneers to move to
its immense and recently obtained Western regions, something that pushed out existing

inhabitants, similar to the Native Americans. The American West has plenty of land to offer

newcomers.

As technology breaks down barriers between communication and commerce, ideas flow

freely spontaneously, capital, and money flows freely throughout the entire world. The only

thing which doesn’t flow freely is labour. And yet, the right to vote with one’s feet, the right to

migrate, and the right to move are some of the most fundamental human rights. And yet, in the

world today, people have divided it, separated it, and have created a system of global racial

segregation. People now feel that it is wrong to discriminate against someone on the basis of

race, gender, or sexual preference. And yet, they discriminate against people based upon where

they’re born. This is a significantly difficult issue for developed countries bordering

underdeveloped countries. Think about the fact that despite having chain fences, there are

numerous who relentlessly risk everything endeavouring to migrate into a developed country.

Imagine the same scenario but with no such fences. More populous cultures would trample the

less populous cultures in no time.

Imagine the likeliness a person accepts the idea of having no dividers on either their

rooms or homes and everybody are resting together. This might sound quite comfortable at first

but the unlikely truth is that after the first night, all the friendship, intimacy, and all open contact

in any form vanishes and sooner or later people begin aching for their own privacy and

protection. Along these lines, there are a lot of reasons why people inevitably demand for their

own private space. One of which is the need for a personal space. This is basic to numerous

mammals. Another thing is, people could stack on their own things and add an identity to it.

Also, it is quite a necessity for a person to be not distracted by outside noise or events. The same
goes with nations who require themselves strong borders for precisely the same reasons. It is to

secure their own way of living, culture and lifestyle. Similarly as an individual has a distinctive

style, nations also have evolved with individual styles. The preference of not losing their

individuality is present. There are also innumerable possibilities for crisis, wars, scourges, and

epidemics around. The solid fringes grants a nation some control in eradicating them. For

example, the Ebola infection is currently battled by outskirt controllers in various countries.

Also, every country needs its very own space to develop and flourish on its own. A world

without borders is one where we as a whole suffers invasion. In this way, no world monetary

standards, no world government, no world without fringes, and so forth. All of these are horrible

ideas once people begin recognizing the practicality. Of course, people want to have windows

and doors in their rooms. People don't want to die in a dungeon. Instead, want their friends to

come and sleep over occasionally. In the same way, nations need to have fairly established

policies when it comes to trade and visas. Obviously, a person needs to have windows and

entryways in their rooms. People would prefer not to die in a dungeon. There is always a need

for companions to come and rest over occasionally. People additionally need to wander around.

In the same way, nations need genuinely advanced policies with regards to trade and visas.

BODY

In a time where globalization and liberalization emerges, numerous experts believe that

people exist in a flat world where the sovereign right of national non-interference no longer

exists. Questions arise whether people are legible enough to thrive in a borderless world and
whether would it be even possible. For some reason, questions of political divides, economic

needs and the role of nation states come into play. There are many reasons that support and

contradict the feasibility of living in a world without borders.

There is no doubt that people can live peacefully and harmoniously in a borderless world.

The main arguments are as follows; first, globalization makes a borderless world possible. On

2001, Thomas Friedman stated that the world that we’re living in is flat. People used to trade

products and services with one another. There is chocolate from Switzerland, oil from the Middle

East, chia seeds from Latin America, diamonds from Africa, cheap electronic gadgets form

China, cotton from India and a wonderful vacation experience is being offered in Japan are just

some of the few reasons where free trade reigns and shows that nations can thrive and flourish

together in a world without borders. Second, elephant curve shows that borderless world is

beneficial. According to the economists who coined the term “elephant curve” states that in

terms of number, globalization establishes growth and is positively beneficial in the economy.

Together with the presence of world bodies such as the United Nations and the World Health

Organization emphasizing the need for global citizenship, merging social rights with benefits

becomes an easy and doable matter as nationality prevails across the world. Third, network

democracy is prevailing. A political system which is flat like the world where we live in will

eliminate national borders and facilitate social cohesion. For instance, experts hold that a certain

strategy should revolve around a continental partnership between nations where the external

circle is the single market and the inner circle is a political union. Fourth, a way to perpetual

peace. A global union of citizens was being envisioned by philosopher Immanuel Kant in the

1790s as the way to promote peace. A borderless world will incapacitate and reduce inequality

and take humans to a higher level of prosperity and peace. Border conflicts and hindrances
between countries are lessening and the world is gradually moving towards a union of wellness

of human species. Resources will also be utilized better as a result. (Hanson, 2016)

Borderless worlds can be a reality, as all human beings are made equal; their basic

necessities are also the same. Once one understands humanity one can recognize the similarities

in all humans. The evolution of humanity has been a bloody existence as countries have pushed

their ideologies and controls on a finite amount of resources (Clegowski, 1998). However, now

that the developed world has moved to a different existence, one that worships knowledge,

freedom and socio economic restraint and equality, we can begin to envision a world without

borders, with diversity of culture and a singular body of laws and economic systems that would

allow people to move freely from continent to continent. Humans have divided the world into

different nations governed by different systems so that they can better manage themselves but as

the intellectual level of human and technology is improving the bordered world is starting to be

no longer needed for management (Tabbarok, 2014). The problems like climate change, global

warming, and ozone layer depletion are of common concern and have already brought the people

of this planet together. These prevalent issues taking place have already blazed a trail for a world

without borders. It would probably be a world alike with the idea unity in diversity.

Basically, humans don't need to fence themselves in and spend all their time gathering

rocks and stones to throw at each other anymore. As a race, everyone needs to put fear aside,

grow out of such petty, primitive and destructive thinking and share the world equally. If the

human race aims to last, the world must evolve into a borderless state where any one country's'

self-interests are marginalized to the extent of negating any armed conflict and with global

freedom of movement. The human intellect has been unable to conquer the evolutionary base

programming on any meaningful scale prior to the internet (Tabbarok, 2014). But there exists
now however a worldwide sharing of thoughts and ideas and an advancing realizations that in

this electronic age, hinges are but an abstract concept that which gives emphasis to more

problems than they are worth. When this happens, all armies and defenses shall no longer be

needed. All interests shall be global. Defense funds shall be used to feed, educate and care for

people, rather than to murder them. Politicians shall no longer be needed. Every person will have

the ability to vote for themselves regarding major global issues online rather than voting

individuals relying in the hope that once in power they shall also envision the same views.

A borderless world is a reality if everyone’s mind set is focused solely on humanity’s

welfare, peaceful living among nations and togetherness of ethnically diverse culture. As how

science defines life, it can’t be denied that humans aren’t the only living beings in this universe.

If people of different walks of life has the eagerness to continue. Everyone must come together

regardless of where and whom they come from. Living in one accord will save a lot of money

because funds would no longer be spent on borders and military equipment. Instead, the funding

can be utilized elsewhere where basic commodities are scarce; to provide basic need to the

people who need it the most and environmental activities. As travelling has become so easy and

fast due to the fast moving aeroplanes, the world has become smaller and scalable.

Nowadays it is recognizable how small the world has become because of the internet, TV

and media technology has already created a virtual borderless world. A borderless world does

not really need to be actually disintegrating hinges of the different countries or nations. In fact,

right now in this very issue people are experiencing what it means to be border-less. Everyone,

from different countries and religions have come together to talk about this topic. Humans have

already created a "media borderless world". So therefore, achieving a borderless world with the

means of the Internet and other social media is already a reality. Considering that this might be
an initial step in achieving such aim, soon there will be a time where all people will thrive

together in a world without borders (Tabbarok, 2014).

However, negating ideas should as well be recognized also. The opposing arguments are

as follows; first, entry restrictions are highly needed. Entry restrictions are created by states to

defend the privileges of their citizens. If they remove the border for poor countries, the entire

population of declining economies will head to the developed world and destroy its limited

infrastructure meant for its citizens alone. Second, questions of social support arise. Another

issue is the social programme and pension schemes as well as social security schemes run by

states like US and Australia. If someone from another nation were to come there, the pension

programmes and government aid would not be sufficient to suffice the growing population.

Third, if borders are removed, population density would be skewed. If we aim for a borderless

world, the population density would rise in developed regions where the infrastructure has been

built for a lesser population. This will impact the availability of food and other amenities. As the

US occupies 25 percent of the global economy, a borderless world implies imports and exports

make up 75% of the global economy. This would entail total trade levels of 150 percent of GDP.

The real total trade levels are 29%, with imports pegged at 17 and exports at 12 percent. This

means the economy is nowhere near a borderless state and can never be. (Hanson, 2016)

Borderless world is a myth because every country has their own native language, follows

their own culture and continues to maintain their standard way of living differently. Every people

think differently, everyone has their own perceptions and point of view. Human beings are

ideologically, culturally, linguistically and economically diverse. It's this diversity which resulted

in the world today being divided into countries that zealously guard their own territory from

ideological, cultural and linguistic influence from the outside. Every nation has their own people,
culture, tradition and integrity as per their history and it's their right to protect themselves

(Bobbit, 2016). Because those values differentiate a nation from the rest of the world, every

nation has their unique core value which signifies its pride. For some reason, it should be kept

separate from others using boundary or creating line of control. Otherwise, it might hurt the

emotion of a particular nation. This world can become borderless but before that everyone in the

world should be in favour of unity in diversity which can only happen if people have a broader

mind set. It can be achieved by introducing meditation. This will also reduce terrorism in the

society. World integrity will also increase. A world without any borders can be a reality only if

the people follow the same ideology, speak the same language and share the same culture.

Borderless world can only be considered feasible if nations co-exist in peace and harmony. An

ideal setting in which the current status-quo fails to achieve.

As of today, all the countries are maintaining their own national security by making

borders. Almost every nation is spending 40% of their economic welfare to the army, navy, air

force and for their border protection. Having a borderless world means achieving world peace. If

it so happens it should achieve the degree where all the countries which are underdeveloped will

have to improve their economic status, the inferiority between countries has to be removed, all

the countries of the world must have same currency, no country should have a military force

protecting the national security and the standards of living of every individual should also be the

same. If we follow all the points mentioned earlier then we can say the borderless world is a

reality. (Dshirk, 2015)

As we know in the world, people have been divided on the basis of the colour, language,

religion, ethnicity and many more factors. Due to their different ideology, they do no longer feel

comfortable whenever they live altogether that's probably the reason why they live accordingly.
These things itself create a boundary between people. Human beings have so different opinions,

needs, priorities that being a part of one single country, tends to not be able to unite properly.

Humans are somehow considered selfish and greedy by the fact that nobody can fulfil their own

needs without using other people. Then, there exists so many differences like caste

discrimination, gender inequality, racism and more which makes it difficult for citizens of a

country to co-exist peacefully. There are so different types of cultures prevailing in every

country and humans have their emotions connected with them. It is by far very difficult then to

unite the whole population of the world if it becomes borderless. This world does not only

confine to physical borders but the borders which is in every human being, their hearts and

minds (Dshirk, 2015). This division is very difficult to be removed because of the mentality that

"we live for ourselves" and until this mind set will not change it will never be easy to unite the

people of the whole world. Somehow, borderless world is a great idea where everyone can live

peacefully but considering today's world where terrorism is a major issue. It is not possible for

countries to go borderless.

Globalization has in any way decreased the differences between various countries but a

borderless world is somehow just a myth. People struggle an awful amount of time in history,

travelling around the world drawing borders, just to prevent people fighting over authority in the

future. If people of today’s world wants to be united and developed, initially self-development is

very necessary for which the land has to be divided. A country prospers only when all the states

in it prospers. In the same way, the globe prospers only when all the countries prosper

independently which is achieved only when there is a precise difference between countries. A

borderless world is a myth if people would only think about their own need, freedom and

religion (Bobbit, 2015). Caring for one self’s benefits alone will hurdle conflict in achieving such
goal. Unity amongst human being is almost impossible to reach because of the thinking that “I

am better than others” was implanted in every people’s minds since the great evolution of living

things started. Every country wants to be at top by showing the power, by suppressing and

acquiring lands from neighbouring countries. This mind set has created many disputes in past &

still existing. All are strengthening their arms & weapons to be always ready for any adverse

condition in the future. So with this type of mind sets we would never find boarder less world.

This would always remain myth for us.

Economically every country is global but in terms of political, still remains national. This

is the main disparity the world is facing today (Dshirk, 2015). A borderless world would be a

totally different world. It would change economics, politics and society as we know it as humans

have, for centuries, lived within boundaries. To have that thing wiped out would mean massive

destabilization of a lot of already established things. Changing world order is not something a

group of people can work out. And it would be a governance nightmare, if it ever were to

become a reality. It is very hard to achieve because people are slow to change especially those in

power, for whom the system works very well. Relaxing borders is definitely possible but that

would take a serious amount of goodwill and honesty from world leaders, which is easier said

than done. Every country has its agenda and self-centered policies and every country would

safeguard its interests first before even thinking about anyone else. A borderless world is never

going to happen, although the idealists in everyone will keep dreaming of it.

CONCLUSION
Varying arguments applies to the attention of people from different walks of life whether

from the top or just a layman. Every statement suggests radical thoughts and ideas. With all the

given supporting and negating ideas, the most established fact that differentiates them is that God

made the humans equal and did not divide them in political boundaries. It appears through

history that political limits are kept up to serve the enthusiasm of few and masses suffer. Benefit

of globalization in terms of businesses and knowledge are already apparent. In this pretext, we

have both pros and cons. If we analyse the pros, the first thing that comes to our mind is freedom

of movement. Just think, people don't have to wait for passports and visas to work in a country.

The world would get equal beneficiaries and amenities. Terrorism will also reduce as the cause

of terrorism will not be there. Coming to cons, the human culture is something that is related to

ego. At the point when there is disregard for any culture, individuals wind up aggressively.

Corruption in human qualities mean self-driven qualities taught in oneself. This will have a

tendency to diminish the broadening of ideas and will restrict to only particular zones. God has

bestowed upon mankind the dazzling endowment of life. It is the human race that made bars

which has turned this world into parts. The feel of superiority, hatred and in order to move ahead

of others people overpasses the feel of brotherhood and communal integrity. Thus, everyone

should reset their mind sets and rethink on strengthening the human relationships.

A truly borderless world’s social, economic and political necessity does change. A

genuinely bound together world economy implies the rates of interest and benefits would be the

same all over, in light of the fact that distinctions are arbitraged by money related markets. This

is not really the case, with interest rates and corporate profits varying across nations in the world.

Another problem is that of logistics and protectionism. The question that really stands as a

hindrance to the idea is whether developed nations are able to handle the inflow of migrants and
refugees that a borderless world would bring. The harder questions have no easy answers, and

unless these are tackled, a borderless world remains a distant dream, not a practical possibility.

The world we live in feels smaller as innovation associates us to an ever increasing

extent. Our view of what it takes to begin a development have become digitalized which is

simpler and more consistent than how we used to raise awareness about a cause. Giving time, an

equal and non-redeemable, will now and forever be the best act of service. At the beginning of

the human evolution, there were no limitations or boundaries enabling the species to make use of

the resources around them. It was like building a pack and then scattering in search of better

living. This gives us the idea that no boundaries means no conflict as well. But, as to the present

reality, it's a matter of the amount of area owned. The concept of rich and poor comes into the

picture. Today’s modern living resides in the time of globalization and the world where people

live in seems smaller due to the development of technology. The governments doesn’t function

as a working group but instead quarrel or reasons that are in beneficial for them. Racism hasn't

wiped out and people fight for power, money and religion. Hypothetically, a borderless world

could be a reality yet this will only happen on the off chance that people strive to change

themselves, change the manner in which individuals think and be more tolerant and in charge of

what they do.

It must be a reality if individuals alter their mind set and begin considering everybody as

one among themselves as opposed to battling for influence, money and religion. It will surely

take a long time but still is possible. It must be a reality if just all countries quit burning through

monetary wealth on their deadly implements and think towards the improvement of humankind..

One of the greatest challenges will be to narrow the social, ethnic, religious and financial barrier.
There is hope in the future that holds the possibility of a borderless world. Again this can be

possible only when people start to think of the general interest of the population
