COMM 112 – Financial Information for Business

Final Exam Information

The final exam covers all learning material in the course including class sessions, workshops,
and all online material. A reminder that knowledge accumulates and there are a number of
inter-related topics and modules in this course. Refer back to the learning objectives for
each topic and the assessment checklists for each module for study guidance.

Note: In order to be awarded a pass grade in the course students must attain 40 percent or
more in the final examination and 50 percent or more in the course overall. Refer to the
course outline.

The final exam is closed book and consists of three sections (A, B and C).

Section A consists of twenty (20) true-false questions and is worth 20 marks. The questions
in this section are of equal weighting (i.e. 1 mark each). The questions in this section are
based on all five modules in the course.

Section B consists of four (4) short-answer questions and is worth 40 marks. The questions
in this section are of equal weighting (i.e. 10 marks each). The questions in this section are
based on four of the five modules in the course.

Section C consists of one (1) long answer question and is worth 40 marks. The question in
this section is based predominantly on material from Module 5 of the course.
