Philosophy of Multicultural Education

Being antibias is essential in the educational world because every classroom is

multicultural, and one must be mindful of this. Being from a first-generation household, I know

what it is like, to speak a different language at home than at school. I know what it is like for

your meals at home to look completely different from the meals provided at school. I understand

that children experience this all the time. I understand that a lot of children have multicultural

socializations.

As a teacher, one must educate children the beauty of being multicultural, and that even

when they might think they are not multicultural, they are, everyone is. We are sponges that are

shaped by DNA, old traditions, and our education. We must be mindful.
