In our school community, there are many things that

can be done to raise awareness among students about

catfishing. Members of our school’s Cyberbrigade can
work hand in hand with the teachers and the school
counselor to organize talks, forums, exhibition, video
presentation to enlighten students about the issue of how
not to become a victim of catfishing. For example:

Firstly, be suspicious is someone contacts you out of

the blue. Second, don’t give away personal information.
Do not publicized bank account details, passwords and
parent’s info. This give scammers leverage to take
advantage of you.
