„ Design of algorithms for real-time applications“

Bosch is the largest supplier of automotive technology, and one of Germany’s largest industrial
enterprises, with a significant international presence.
The “Control engineering” group at Robert Bosch GmbH, Corporate Research is an international team of
highly motivated scientists. Our task is to explore, evaluate and develop new concepts, methods and
applications for the design of Mechatronic Systems in cooperation with Robert Bosch Product Divisions.

Your Task: Design of real-time algorithms for the ECU (Electronic Control Unit).
The aim of this internship is to study different algorithms and to develop a real-time implementation of them
in the field of digital signal processing, system identification and Machine Learning
(clustering/classification).
In particular:
- Development of real-time algorithms for the digital signal processing (e.g Goertzel algorithm,
Savitzky-Golay smoothing/differentiation filter).
- Study of different algorithms in the context of linear algbrea wirh application to sytem identification
and machine learing (clustering/classification) (e.g fast Givens, Singualr Value Decoposition (SVD))

Requirements: You are a student of computer science, computer engineering, mathematics or electrical
engineering at a university or an engineer school.
- You have a good knowledge and understanding of Control Engineering concepts and practices.
- You are able to think conceptually and express ideas clearly, convincingly and concisely, verbally
and in writing.
- You are fluent in English or in German.
- You have good mathematical skills.
