1 Prerequisites
1.1. Check hardware to see if it is supported for CR QS OS XP
Install the CR QS Windows XP Server OS only on machines that are on the supported
HW list.

Supported hardware for CR QS Server:

DELL PRECISION WS650 MIDSIZE TOWER

DELL PRECISION WS670 MIDSIZE TOWER
DELL POWEREDGE 700

Supported hardware for CR QS Client:

DELL OPTIPLEX GX260+ (SMT or SSF)

DELL OPTIPLEX GX270
DELL OPTIPLEX GX620

1.2. Use the correct set of the OS CD’s

Check the right versions of the CD’s in the “CR QS 3.5 CD Set.doc” on the CR Qs
Application CD

CR QS Application CD. Used for Server and Client

CR QS OS XP CD. Used for Server and Client

CR QS OS XP Hotfix CD. Used for Server and Client

CR QS OS Languages CD’s
If you need to install additional languages (languages other than English)
“Western Europe” - “Asian” – “Nordic & Portuguese” – “Eastern Europe & Middle East”

1.3. Windows License Key

For all installations you need to provide the Windows license key for the
operating system.

1.4. Network connected

When installing, Server and Client need a network connection.
The minimum is a connection to a hub so the system can ‘see’ a network
connection. The system can be connected to a bigger network when installing,
like the hospital or company network, but be careful. If other CR-QS systems are
installing at the same time, an IP conflict can occur.

4
CR QS 3.5

1.5. Change the keyboard to a QWERTY (US international) keyboard.

XP. Therefore it is easier working with a QWERTY keyboard (US international) attached
when you have to type something.
