terms in their day-to-day lives. From learning and discussing these terms, I will then introduce the Quizlet
created for this lesson.
Describe the purpose of the SRT activity (check all that apply):
☐ Assess prior knowledge ☐ Anticipatory set (Create interest in a topic) ☐ To illuminate common
misconceptions ☒ Formative assessment of content knowledge (for purpose of differentiation and
mastery for ALL students) ☐ Summative assessment of content knowledge ☒ Test preparation
☐ Survey/Poll ☐ Discussion starter ☐ “Homework” collection ☐ Other (please explain):
If you are unable to provide a working sample of your questions, please list them below (8-10):
Please see Quizlet attached.
Right/Wrong answers: Will there be right/wrong answers to these questions?
☐ Yes ☐ No
☒ Mixed (Some will have correct answers, other will not.)
Immediate corrective feedback: Will you pre-select correct answers to some of all of the questions and
display correct response to the class after the SRT activity?
☒ Yes
☐ No
Why or why not?
Throughout Quizlet, the student will be able to play different memorization games. While doing this, if they
chose the incorrect answer, Quizlet will track their process and show them what is correct and incorrect.
Describe what will happen AFTER the SRT activity?
After the SRT activity, the students will be ready to be quizzed/tested over this content. Through Quizlet,
there is an option to print out a test over the terms. This way, it will be in the same context that the students
practiced, memorized, and studied. The students will then be given the time to take the quiz, individually.
How will the data be used?
The data that will be collected from this activity will show how well the students were able to utilize Quizlet
and if it was helpful to them. This information will be useful in terms of using Quizlet again in the future. The
students will also be graded on the quiz/test at the end of this activity to show if they were able to master the
content of this standard. After they are graded, they will be sent home in their take home folders to show
their parent/guardian. If the students are successful and all master the standard there will be no need to re-

teach or re-access this standard. If there are signs that the students did not master the standard, then it will
give the teacher guidelines for what needs to be re-taught and re-accessed.
Describe your personal learning goal for this activity.
The main goal of this lesson is to introduce the technology tool of Quizlet to the students and allow them to
become comfortable with all that it has to offer. This activity will be the first time that the students have used
Quizlet. As a teacher, I would hope that they would take in all possible information from Quizlet not only for
this activity but for future activities to be as successful as possible when learning new content. As a teacher, I
hope to learn how well the students respond to this study/learning tool to know if it will be something that
can be utilized in future lessons.
Reflective Practice:
After designing this lesson idea, I feel that the activities created could impact the students learning in great
ways. By utilizing Quizlet, the students are learning great study techniques while also learning the content of
the standard attached with this lesson. If the students are able to become familiar with what all Quizlet has to
offer, it can be incorporated in with future lessons to enhance student learning. It could also be something
that the students can utilize in the future individually as a study technique or a technique to assist them with
learning new content. The SRT activity will be utilized at the end of a lesson to provide guidance through
studying and learning for a quiz/test. To incorporate more technology, use into this lesson, the students could
be provided the option to incorporate Beyond the Basic Productivity tools by creating a Popplet over the
terms from this lesson to serve as another grade for this lesson. This activity can be done individually or in a
group setting to allow for the students to further their connections with the content. The more utilization of
technology the higher the chances are for the student to be successful.
