DO YOU REALISE?

But what if you could realise how the Father felt after the death of His son Jesus Christ, what if you
could see His pain? What could you have done differently?

It costed more than everything we could imagine so that we can attain the title of being called the
blessed; the children of God.

Let’s take a hypothetical instance. Today you buy a good IPhone, costed you a fortune and you had
to sacrifice almost everything so that you could have that phone, the experience and the great
things that you will derive from the phone. The next instance, it fails to power up and by any chance
it does, it didn’t respond to any touch commands that you administer. How would you feel? I will
rhetorically leave it at that but conclude with this, Jesus represents that money you sacrificed, the
IPhone is Us and God, well just like the owner of the phone.

Enough of the hypothetical scenarios. Let me talk about me. If by any chance I could have been
everything that people said I was then the worst I could be is the devil himself. Take for example the
various instances people say of you, jokingly or seriously, ‘oye I setaniat iman any’ or ‘kowo ano
setaniandanigan’ or ‘kowo ano bunyondonigan’. Got the picture? But the best thing is that you are
more than what people say, you are the blessed, you are a child of God and no one will can change
the fact. I remember thirty three days ago I was talking with a certain lady on Facebook Messenger,
knowing how she was fairing on after a long time. Just normal greetings (P.S – I also have Exes and
this was one of them). The last time we parted, it was not on good grounds and so in the forge to
make things right in my life, I reached out only to be told ‘You are gay’. After a series of messages,
she ended up apologising for what happened over a long (long is relative) time ago (which I had
indeed forgotten) claiming it was her mistake. I then wondered what could have happened if I had
taken it personal or gotten angry over what she had said about me. I knew I wasn’t and won’t be gay
on whatever grounds and this by extension bred ground for a peaceful understanding.

I don’t believe that we are what the world says about us but rather what God thinks of us and He
thinks we are conquerors, successful, winners and most important still, a chosen generation and a
royal priesthood. We were bought with a price and through Jesus Christ, we found a way to the
Father.
