THREE FATES

by Katy Pfaffl and Matt Bogart

story
ARTIST COLLIDES WITH ARTIST COLLIDES WITH ARTIST

Celeste, a young, genius artist, struggles for recognition and equality when the men she
loves in her life, Pierce and Adam, quarrel and bargain, squander her ambitions and decide
her fate.

Celeste's future as a genius artist is compromised when Pierce’s love for his sister is
threatened by her love affair with Adam, one of the world's contemporary art giants.
Celeste fights to earnestly assert her talents and affections for Adam in the face of Pierce's
religious, political and jealous ambitions, altering her destiny forever.

A contemporary love triangle, inspired by the lives of Camille Claudel, her brother Paul
Claudel and her affair with August Rodin, this piece explores the obstacles of a woman's
artistic and romantic ambitions befallen by the political and religious ambitions of the
patriarchy.

theatricality for meditation.

All collisions take place in sophisticated classic and contemporary

styles indicative of the present day artistic European location that is
Basil, Switzerland. Locations include Celeste and Pierce's
apartments, Adam's art studio, gallery lobbies and hallways and, of
course, the church.
