Progress was never away from us.

Change is an inevitable circumstance. It has formed part in everyone's life, and the challenge is how
would people handle it that makes it either good or bad. In today's society, it seems like in whatever
you're doing, wherever you go, changes are evident. Some equate changes into progress, but some
believe it should not be, for there are some changes where you do not actually get to gain something,
instead you lose something. But, here is what I think, when you want to make progress, make changes.

People, nowadays, feel left out due to the uprising modern technology. And that in order to be
necesarry, they must compete with what technology can offer. It is certainly true. But instead of it
becoming a negative impact, it was treated as a motivator for management accountants to broaden their
capabilities and even more, open their walls for a greater grip on the reality of businesses. They were no
longer enclosed and no longer living into their title's connotation which they slowly trying to alter. They
have found ways to build a firmer relevance even upto now where modern technology seems to own
their jobs. They brought to themselves a competency, flexibility, leadership not all technology can
provide. For them to excel, they must own a higher-level data analysis skills, both predictive and
presscriptive analytics, and be one with the business as if a business partner and analyst through
deriving a deeper understanding of what business really the management accountant is in. More over,
management accountants have to bloom and become more than what they once were. Not only as a
producer and someone who focuses on datas, but also someone who could be an interpreter, a
contributor and communicator of meaninful thoughts, ideas for the benefit of the mass. If before they
are almost only into past performances, now, they are aligned with the idea that more than that, future
is more valuable. In addition, to be an effective and efficient management accountant, he must not only
mold himself but the people he is with to draw a more successful offing.

There are times when we must embrace changes to build a better us. Management accountants of
'yesterday' are molded today for the benefit and the promise of tomorrow. In order to make progress, it
is us that must initiate changes.
