Pre-assess:
• Students know how to use tense verbs because it can be seen in their
speech. Now they will learn them in a deeper level.
Objective(s): • Identify and correctly use present, past and future tense verbs.
Assessment:
• Students will have to recognize the different uses of the verbs in the audio
they recorded.

• Introduction: For this lesson, students will see and listen a story showed by the projector and they
will recognize the different uses of the verbs (present, past, future).

PAST TENSE
The past tense of many verbs is formed by adding ed.
Examples:
remember + ed = remembered
climb + ed = climbed
If a verb ends in a short vowel followed by a single consonant, double the final
consonant.
Examples:
trip- tripped
pop - popped
PRESENT TENSE
The present tense verb tells what is happening right now. To form
ACTIVITY: Form groups of 4. Record one person of your group for one or two
minutes .He/she must use past, present and future tenses. You can talk whatever
you want but remember that you have to use the 3 tenses. You must have at least
3 sentences in which the person uses the tenses. Then listen the video and write
down the tenses he/she used. Write in the chart your sentences.
