Project management is very fast-growing field,
there are many paths to become a project
manager. There are many job titles to get the title
of project manager like:
Project coordinator
Project analyst
Business analyst
Project Administrator
My carrier action plan to become a project
manager is that first I will try to exhibit skills like:
Strong communication
Accountability
Attention to details
And leadership traits.
Then I will apply for co-op to get the experience of
management, I will try to assist at Project
manager on a project. There are many ways by
which I can assist the project manager like
scheduling and fascilating meetings, managing the
budget and managing the vendors.
After that I will try to get the position of project
coordinator.
Project coordinator is very good position to get
you on project manager path. Work that is
typically done by the project coordinator is test
plans, vendor activities, budget and organizing
activities like meetings and document
preparation.
After gaining some experience I will apply for PM
certification and will become a project manager.
