PETITION

COMES NOW, Petitioner AL ISIDORE B. AQUINO, through the

undersigned counsel and unto this Honorable Court most respectfully avers:

1. That the Petitioner is maternal grandfather of minor CHLOE A.

LOPEZ, Filipino, of legal age, married to Ana Maria A. Aquino, has
the legal capacity to sue and be sued and a resident of Land Heights,
Sta. Barbara, Iloilo, Philippines, where he can be served with summons
and other processes of this Honorable Court;

2. That Petitioner is also the father of Anna Aquino-Lopez, the mother of

minor CHLOE A. LOPEZ, who died on January 2, 2023 at St. Paul
Hospital, Iloilo City, Philippines. Photo stat copy of her Death
Certificate is hereto attached as Annex “A” and made an integral part
of this Petition;

3. That Jose L. Lopez, the father of minor CHLOE A. LOPEZ was also
died on January 2, 2023 at St. Paul Hospital, Iloilo City, Philippines,
together with their mother Anna Aquino-Lopez, by reason of car
accident. Photo stat copy of her Death Certificate is hereto attached as
Annex “B” and made an integral part of this Petition;

4. That minor CHLOE A. LOPEZ is likewise a Filipino, born on July 12,

2013 at Land Heights, Sta. Barbara, Iloilo, Philippines, and presently
residing with the Petitioner;

5. That the minor CHLOE A. LOPEZ is the owner of a parcel of farm

land in Sta. Clara, Oton, Iloilo valued at Three Million Five Hundred

 Thousand Pesos (P3,500,000.00) and such minor can make no
transactions regarding the same;

6. That the nearest of kin of the minor CHLOE A. LOPEZ are the
following:

7. That due to the minority of the said minor CHLOE A. LOPEZ, it is

necessary and convenient that a guardian over her person and property
be appointed;

8. That, as above stated, Petitioner is the person having the said minor in
his care, and that he possesses all the qualifications of a person to
whom letters of guardianship should be issue;

9. That the Petitioner has furnished a bond amounting to Three Hundred

Fifty Thousand Pesos (P350,000.00) or Ten Percent (10%) of the value
of the said property owned by the minor;

PRAYER

Wherefore, premises considered, it is respectfully prays upon this

Honorable Court, after due notice and hearing, judgment be rendered
declaring that the petitioner be appointed as guardian over the property of
the said minor.
