POINT OF VIEW
Established in Florida in the wake of the 2000 election, Smartmatic focused on building
the most secure, accessible and easy-to-use election technologies designed to safeguard
the process from start to finish. Today, Smartmatic is the world’s largest, most advanced
and innovative elections technology company.

II
TIME CONTEXT

From Chicago to Manila. From Utah to Belgium. And

from LosAngeles to London – since 2003 Smartmatic has successfully designed
and implemented secure voting technologies for election commissions on five
continents in 25 countries. We’ve recorded and tabulated more than 4.5 billion
votes with zero security breaches.

III
SHORT HISTORY
Smartmatic has helped hundreds of millions of voters cast over 4 billion votes in
thousands of elections around the world. Better use of technology in voting
systems increases not only the transparency, efficiency and integrity of an
election but also makes voting more accessible, allowing societies to reverse
declining trends in turnout and citizen participation.
We are continuing to bring our ground breaking approach to new countries every
year and we are ardent promoters of the benefits of election automation. Explore
our timeline to discover some of the key milestones in our history:
