Dear Heavenly Father,

I thank you for this wonderful day

and for the courage you have lent me
as I embark in my journey to be a
compassionate and worthy teacher as
Yourself. I humbly ask for your forgiveness
for all the sins I’ve committed.
And may the learning of both me and my
students be a guide to understand
our role in life with you
both in earth and in heaven.
This I ask through our Lord Jesus Christ,
who lives, and reigns with you
and the Holy Spirit,
one God, forever and ever,
