Ashesh Rai

Ashesh’s first instrument was the tabla, which he continues to play today.
Growing up in a family consisting of musicians, it was not unusual he would
grow up to become one himself. However, in his own view, he hasn’t been able
to pick any particular instrument currently and is pursuing various instruments
and styles of music.

Previously he was involved with Con-fusion while at Kathamandu Jazz

Conservatory. He draws influence from all forms of music and prefers Classical
and Jazz music. Theatre has also been his interest among other art forms.

Currently he is teaching music at Modern Indian School.
