Ban on Heavy Vehicles on Roads during HARI RAYA 2019
The Co-ordination Meeting on Road Safety Campaign held on May 10, 2019 agreed that Heavy Vehicles will be banned
from ALL ROADS in Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak for FIVE DAYS on June 1, 2, 3 and 8 and 9, 2019 during
the Hari Raya festival as part of the Government's effort to reduce road accidents during the festive period. The
categories of heavy vehicles restricted as agreed by the Road Safety Department are as follows:

1.11 Vehicles carrier trailer or lorries, tow truck, tipper lorry TOTAL BAN
with laden weight exceeding 7,500 kg, low loader lorry
and timber lorry NOT ALLOWED on ALLROADS
12 Lorries transporting construction materials eg. onJune 2, 2, 3, 8 and 9, 2019
| cement, iron, steel, stones, sand, earth and other
construction materials
1.3 Lorries carrying minerals eg. tallings, tin, coal and
other mineral materials
1.4 Wheeled heavy machineries and tractor, pole trailer,
platform trailer
2, | 2.1 Container lorries transporting goods
on June 1, 2,3, 8 and 9, 2019
2.2 Container lorries transporting goods from a port or ALLOWED on roads
