“Perception” it may seem to be a simple word, but when you lay your eyes onto that, it has different
meanings and understanding you'll find this plain word isn’t just a word that you speak, then you didn’t
care all about but this is a powerful word that can change your beliefs in life that might end in
confusions. This thesis report is giving you a hint that putting perception of things is not actually
propitious as well because as you can see some may still unknown that we didn’t know it's known.

This study is all about learner's perception in a strand of senior high school that will truly help a lot of
students on how well they deliver their opinion towards them. We figure out that this study may it likes
Expectation vs. reality expectation because we believe in what comes in our mind is enough to accept or
we heard from others mouth, but when you look at it, then you'll realize that there is no difference its
just that our expectation eaten our way of thinking and that’s reality

The Deped (Department of education) added 2 more years which called senior high school.The
additional two years in secondary education are to better prepare the Filipino youth to proceed to
higher education, employment, entrepreneurship, or mid-level skills development, and to be at par with
international standards.

Nowadays it exclusively happens that all strands in senior high school are commonly hot topic of leaners
because they want to choose the right track that fits them, but at the same time perception is the
hindrance that could affect their decision making.

Academic strand is like an incomplete puzzle we'll must find the missing piece so that all of us wouldn't
be blind, but to see how the value clash with dogmatic was made before we aren’t seeing the real
meaning of it.However ,here are the different strand in senior high school;

The Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Strand tackles today’s challenges of
transportation, global warming and environment-friendly machines, appliances and systems, with
related fields including, but not limited to accounting, computer science, electrical engineering,
mechanical engineering, information n sciences and systems, computer engineering, civil engineering,
and economics & finance.

The Accountancy, Business, and Management (ABM) Strand is designed for students who wants to
develop their understanding of accounting and management in a business context and develop skills
that enhance their employability and help them achieve the following: develop an appreciation of the
role of accounting within the overall function of management, acquire technical accounting skills and
integrate theoretical and conceptual considerations with practice, evaluate the principles and theories
that underpin accounting and management, critically reflect on the role of the main stakeholder and the
influence of regulatory frameworks on accounting and management, and develop analytical and
problem solving abilities and apply them in making management decisions.

The Humanities and Social Sciences (HumSS) Strand includes, but are not limited to, thestudy of the
following: “language, both modern and classical; linguistics; literature; history;jurisprudence;
philosophy; archaeology; comparative religion; ethics; the history, criticism and theory of the arts; those
aspects of social sciences which have humanistic content and employ humanistic methods; and the
study and application of the humanities to the human environment with particular attention to
reflecting our diverse heritage, traditions, and history and to the relevance of the humanities to the
current conditions of national life. “ In relation to that, thesocial sciences involve the studies that deal
with humans in their social relations, like economics,anthropology, political science, psychology, and
sociology.

The Sports Track include subjects that prepare students for career in sports, fitness, and recreation it
also offers specialized subjects like Safety and First Aid, Understanding Human Movement, General
Coaching, Understanding Social, Psychological & Cognitive Development, and Student-athlete
Enhancement and Formation . The Arts and Design strand will have subjects to prepare students for
career in design and creative industries. This Strand also gives students the opportunity to train with
other artists and put on shows to exhibit their works in a subject.

The Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TechVoc) strand teaches common competencies like using hand
tools, basic calculation, planning and drawing, performing shop maintenance, and practicing
occupational health safety to ensure that graduates will have employable skills after senior high.

Students who are still unsure about what to do after senior high school may take the General Academic
Strand (GAS), which covers a wide array of subjects taken from the other academic strands.

Each learner must be choose one track, but negative opinion flies that you need to pick what is the best
among the rest. Always remember that there's no nothing easier because all of that is difficult were not
just using properly our learnings in each strand. This research gives complete ideas that we’re able to
use it or share it with others.

As a researcher, we must do something that can eliminate at least the bad perception in each strand so
that as learners just like them we need to unite as one to lead us all that Stem,humss ,gas,tvl he, tvl ict
and arts and design is known as a healthy foundation that theres no any kind of competition but to
reach our dreams together.

As of now try to know the importance in each strand and start to use each learner voice that all are
equal It’s just that our perception went wrong and this research is the best example of it.

Learners' perception is the one who complicating things, including their parents it is naturally
happening, but putting some unpleasant words is so inappropriate, this research is giving you a light that
there's no scale in strands on who are on top and bottom it’s just our perception trying to change the
real statement of it.
