sPrasderPite rn jpoolrs.com Nikon Scene Modes These are the scene modes from the Nikon D5200 so your Nikon DSLR may have more or less than what is on this list. Scene modes con be really practically useful when you need a quick shot and you don't want to mess around with Figuring out aperture and shutler speed. They're great to play around with and can often work surprisingly welll & portrait chooses a small numbered aperture to create a blurry background but only works if you stay with objects smaller thon @ pineapple (unless you have a prime lens or big zoom lens) landscape - chooses a large numbered aperture to create a large depth-offield so everything stays in focus & child - chooses a fast shuter speed to freeze motion X sports ~ the some as "child" mode but the flash is never used in this mode. & close up for when your subject is closer than « foo! fo your lens [since your camera may have @ hard time focusing on things tht are so close) Flight portrait -to use your flash with a slow shutter speed which balances out the light on your subject and the light in the background. Ths is probably my favorite ofthe scene modes. FR night londscape - some as night portrait (slow shuter speed) but no ash so use tis if you're shooting « lendscope ox cityscape with nobody in it 3 porty/indoor-| believe this is the same as night portrait but meant to be used when the background isn't so far away (ve. indoors) 96 beoch/snow - This tus your exposure compensation higher (more light] to avoid the "gray" look you get when you have alt of ight tons in your imoge) 1 sunset -This also turns your exposure compensation ower [les light fo ovoid your sunsets looking washed out so you capture the colors accurately iB dusk/down - This turns your exposure compensation even lower than with sunset "WF pet portrait- same as child and sports with more emphasis on indoor focusing & candlelight - some as dusk/dawn but meant for indoors D tiossom -1 thnk ths might bump up your saturation to relly highligh the colors ofthe flowers & curumn colors- some as blossom TY food - same os blossom (highlighting vivid colors of food)
