Praised be Jesus and Mary!

With the theme Academic Scientific and Creative Works as Keys to Building an Entrepreneurial
Ecosystem, the RPIC is holding the Research and Innovation Awards Night and Timyas Musika
Recognition 2018 this coming February 7, Wednesday.

This event will encompass three-tier purposes including:

1. Recognition and documentation of the meritorious achievements in research and
publication of UIC faculty, hence strengthen the culture of collaboration, research and
publication within the UIC academic community as well as with external partners;
2. Continuity of promotion of the UIC RPIC Timyas Musika Recognition - this time focusing on
the UIC Music Program graduates, hence foster deeper inspiration for the program alumni
to bring and contribute into their chosen profession;
3. Soft-launching of UIC community intellectual properties (IPs) in the form of copyright and
trademark awards, hence boost creativity and innovativeness among the members to lead
to more IP registrations.

The event will be graced by guests from the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPPHL),
and will be an opportunity for us to showcase our lively culture of research, innovation, and
musical talents.

In this connection, may we have the honor to have the UIC Chorale grace the occasion by leading
the Invocation and the National Anthem? We have attached the draft of the Program for your
