among the
youth. Thanks to this report we were able to either confirm or infirm the bond between the self
report of our weight and the BMI. For this scientific study we have investigated 77 different persons
in two different locations namely Gjilan and Pristina. In order to gather information we have created
a questionnaire composed of 10 different question, where we included questions about weight and
height. Once the information was gathered we have calculated the BMI. We have calculated two
separate BMIs, one based on the self report of weight and the second based on our measurement of
people’s weight. For all these calculations and analysis we have created a database thanks to
Microsoft Office – Excel. After analysing our data we were able to find out that 77.9% of investigated
people think that they fall within the group having a normal weight, whereas 89.6% have reported a
normal weight or after measurement only 77.1% of women actually have a normal weight. In the
other hand 68.6% of male have reported to posses a normal weight or after measurement only
48.3% of them actually posses a normal weight. Other gathered information show that 51.9% of
investigated people have physical activity once or twice a week, 44.2% remain seated for at least 3
hours a day, 70.9% also constate that they consume traditional food made at home and finally 66.2%
of investigated persons say that they are happy with their current weight, and so on
