NIA conducts searches in Tamil Nadu in case RC-16/2019/NIA/DLI

Case RC-16/2019/NIA/DLI (Tamil Nadu Ansarulla Case) was registered on 09.07.2019 against Syed
Bukhari (A-1), resident of Chennai; Hassan Ali Yunusmaricar (A-2), native of Nagapattinam; Mohammed
Yusuffudeen Harish Mohamed (A-3), native of Nagapattinam and others u/s 120B, 121A and 122 of IPC besides
sections 17, 18, 18-B, 38 and 39 of the UA (P) Act, based on credible information received that the accused
persons, while being within and beyond India, had conspired and conducted consequent preparations to w ag e war
against the Government of India by forming the terrorist gang Ansarulla. It has also been learnt that the accused
persons and their associates had collected funds and made preparations to carry out terrorist attacks in India, w ith
the intention of establishing Islamic rule in India.

ii) On 13.07.2019, NIA carried out searches at the house and office of Syed Mohammed Bukhari (A-1) in
Chennai City besides at the houses of Hassan Ali (A-2) and Harish Mohammed (A-3) in Nagapattinam district of
Tamil Nadu.

iii) During searches, 9 mobiles, 15 SIM cards, 7 memory cards, 3 laptops, 5 hard discs, 6 pen drives, 2 tablets
and 3 CDs/ DVDs besides documents including magazines, banners, notices, posters and books have been s eized
by NIA.

iv) Above said 3 accused persons are being questioned by NIA.
