Everythings Not Lost
Everythings Not Lost
Katie: (Katherine) A daughter of two architects. A jolly and positive person thus, people call her
sunshine. Also an obedient and respectful child but a risk taker
Simone: (Monie) Older sister of Katie. The one who’ll push Katie to achieve her dream and
always by Katie’s side.
Andrew: Father of Simone and Katie. Has a high dream for his daughters and fears for them to
fail.
Cecile: Mother of Simone and Katie. A very gentle and kind mother to her daughters.
Crystal: Katie’s new found best friend. Takes care of Katie and also was the one who pushes
Katie to reach her dream
Jacob: Katie’s best friend. Just like Katie, he’s also positive and a jolly person.

The sun sets and two young soul mates are under a tree sitting while watching the sun set.
Both were clearly tired and worn out by the day, but they somehow manage to give out a smile
to each other.
Boy: Yeah, tiring than ever. Shouldn’t you go back to your dormitory? It’s almost your curfew.
Girl: I’m fine. As long as I have someone to accompany me back to my room, curfew isn’t a big
deal.
Girl: How are you? I heard that you were having a very bad day. Can you tell me what
happened?
Boy: Well, that good for nothing professor just told us that we couldn’t be anybody. That there’s
no way we could be successful. “All your designs are trash”, “All your portfolios are comparable
to a five-year old’s drawings”, “Your children would be ashamed of you because their parents
failed to give them a good life and bright future,” blah blah blah. *Grunts in frustration* God, I
wish I can staple his mouth. All he can do is run his mouth when he has nothing to even brag
about.
Girl: Maybe he has his regrets and don’t want you guys end up like him. If not, then just make
him regret all his statement and be successful.
Boy: Oh hell yeah, I will. I’ll make it for you. We’ll make it. And our children will never face
people like that professor because they are successful.
Scene 2
Katie is now on her room sketching. Her room is a mess filled with scratch papers, journals,
and sketch pads. Some papers are pinned on a cork board showing architectural drawings.
She walked around her room thinking what design she should do. Katie realized that it’s
already 7 and she’s dead when her mom sees her room a mess.
Katie: Oh no. It’s already seven! Oh god. Oh god. I’m dead if mom sees me like this.
Simone: Calm down, scaredy cat. They said that they’ll be a little bit more late tonight.
Katie: Ye-yeah, Of course! Can you knock the next time? And why are you here though?
Simone: I’m checking on you, of course. And why are you demanding me to knock? That’s not
a thing we do. Are you hiding something?
Katie: What? No. Don’t be ridiculous, Monie! What would I even hide?
Simone: Oh, come on. I’m your sister. I can definitely tell if you’re hiding things or not. Oh, I
know now. You’re hiding your blueprints, aren’t you? Feeling embarrassed about your work?
Simone: You shouldn’t be embarrassed! All those works will pay off in the future. I’ll go
downstairs. Mom and dad are here.

Everyone is at the dining table. Katie was still a mess even though she washed the paint on her
hands. Cecile served each of one of them and lastly served Katie.
Cecile: Katherine you look like a mess. Why are you all dirty and disastrous?
Cecile: I didn’t know sketches could paint your forehead yellow. Just clean yourself again
before going to bed.
Andrew: By the way. Have you decided on which field of architecture you’ll be taking? You
should make up your mind already Katie. Time’s ticking.
Katie: I’m not sure, dad. I think I’d take either interior designing or landscape architecture, but I
guess I’ll think more of it later.
Andrew: We understand that you’re having a hard time choosing. Choosing what field is very
hard after all, especially you’re such an ambitious child. But remember that you only have until
this December to decide.
Cecile: You’ll take exams from the best universities. And better yet, pass the exam where
Simone is studying.
Simone: I’m pretty sure you can pass every CAT’s and CET’s. So just worry about which field
you’ll take.

Katie’s already fixing herself for school. They have a festival for a week so they are required to
wear civilian clothes. She searched her wardrobe, mix and matching shirts and pants, blouses
and skirts. She’s stressing herself until she finally found what she wanted. Simone then
knocked on the door.
Simone: Katie! Aren’t you done? You’ve been there for an hour and a half. What are you
doing?
Katie then grabbed her bag and belongings and walked out of her room

Cecile met Katie by the living area and is about to hand out Katie’s lunch.
Cecile: Why did you take so long? You fell asleep while changing, didn’t you?
Katie: Don’t be ridiculous, mom. That was like, I don’t know, nine to ten years ago? Besides,
sleeping is not a thing to me now.
Cecile: Alright, alright. Just do things faster the next time, ‘kay?
Simone then came out with a messy bun and a disastrous look.
Cecile: here, looking like she’s been from a war. Can you at least look decent for a moment,
Simone?
Simone: As long as I successfully graduate, looks won’t matter to me. Let’s go.
Simone and Katie kissed Cecile and wave goodbye.

An event was going on the school's field but Katie decided to sit by herself. She began her
routine of listing down inspirations for her illustrations and designs. She tied her hair into a bun
and gathered her pencils. Jacob then appeared.
Katie: It's noisy there. Who and why are they finding me?
Jacob: The head architect's asking if your visual sketches for the new building is done. They're
really excited to see it.
Katie: I'm done, but I think I'll make a new design. Why do they even bother to have me as their
designer?
Jacob: Because you have talent in designing and both of your parents are architects. Why
change it though? It can't be that bad. Do you have the sketch?
Jacob: There are like two red sketch pads here. (Jacob grabbed one) Is this it?
Katie: No, not that! (Katie tried to grab the sketch pad) Give me that!
Jacob: Why? Something weird here? (Jacob scanned through the sketch pad) These are just
random girls with weird bodies.
Jacob: Do you hate these people? Why are they weirdly draw? Or maybe these are aliens?
Are you trying to dress aliens?
Katie: (Katie snatched the sketchpad) Are you dumb or what? These are sketches of clothes
like the ones you see on a catwalk.
Jacob: Ohh, so you changed your mind from being an architect to a seamstress?
Katie: A what? Jacob they're called fashion designers. And that's just a random sketch
Jacob: Why not be a fashion designer? Your sketches are actually good. The models look
weirdly stretched but the clothes are good.
Katie: Well, thanks for your compliment, but you know my parents. They won't like it when I
switch to fashion designing. What they want is what they want, and that's absolute.
Jacob: You're like a slave. A lot has made it to the top with that course, so it won't be hard for
you to do the same you know.

[poem part]
It was Saturday and Katie decided to take a walk and stay at her favorite place in the park. She
sat under a mango tree and started sketching the view. A girl then stood in front of her.
Katie: Hi, I’m Katie! Nice meeting you! Hey, can I ask?
Katie: Your parents, do they have some kind of desire for you? Like do they ever had a course
of job for you to get?
Crystal: Well, my parents are supportive of what we want, as long as we don’t end up in a
gutter someday.
Katie: But if ever your parents wasn’t like that and dictates what you should be in the future, will
you follow them?
Crystal: It really depends but I think I’d still follow my heart. Why? You and your parents have
opposing ideas?
Katie: Yeah, they’re kind of the “want I want should be done” people. Now I’m torn between my
two most precious things. My heart or my family. Would my dreams come true? Do dreams
really even do come true?
Katie was speechless with Crystal’s words and was silent and still on her seat. Crystal smiled at
Katie and then left.

Katie was walking around the campus holding all the sketches and visuals she has to pass to
the architect of their school. She came across a board with a sign “Freedom Board.” Katie read
the message below.
Katie: The most courageous act is still to think for yourself aloud. Coco Chanel…
Schoolmate: Hi! Welcome to our newly installed freedom board! You can write anything that
you want. Wishes, confessions, rants. As long as there’s no profanity. Would you like to try? It
wouldn’t take much of your time if you would.
Crystal: You should try too. This would be fun to try. I’ll be also staying here. You could call or
text me whenever you need to. I wrote it on the sticky note. (Looking back to Katie and left)
Katie’s schoolmate waited for her response. Katie then grabbed one and wrote on the sticky
note. Katie first hesitated on sticking her note but she still did near the quotation. She then went
on with her business not knowing that Simone was there looking at her. Simone then went to
the board.
Simone: Um, excuse me. The girl with a drawing tube. Which one did she write?
Schoolmate: I’m not sure, but the color was blue. She placed it near the quote I think.
Simone searched for Katie’s note until she found the note that stands out the others. She
recognized the penmanship. Simone then grabbed the note.

Katie has been thinking all night long if she should tell her parents or not. She’s afraid that she’ll
disappoint them. She’s rolling all around her bed trying to release tension.
Katie: If I became a fashion designer, I have a chance to be like Donatella Versace, or Miuccia
Prada, or Coco Chanel, or Monique Lhuillier. I’ll be famous like them and become a billionaire. I
could also help other girls wear their dream dresses or outfits. But! That might not happen,
mom and dad will be disappointed and I’ll sure be dead because they might disown me and
kick me out of the house. (Katie grabbed a piece of her work) But if I did, you’ll be worn by a
successful woman someday.
Katie: But if I become an architect, I could also be famous and become a billionaire. Mom and
dad and Simone would be so proud of me. But! But!! I might not become one because I’ll be
procrastinating and designing houses is just a hobby of mine. I’m so torn!!! (Katie shouts)
Katie then rolled over and over her bed. Simone then came in.
Simone: The last time I can remember, cramps don’t make you shout “I’m so torn,” and
screech like an eagle.
Simone: Because being torn means being uncertain which in which option or parties you
should choose.
Katie: What? What I mean is my lower body feels like it’s being torn—
Simone: Kindly explain this. (Simone pulled out a letter) It was said here that you want to.
Simone: I’d believe that this is a random paper if it wasn’t your penmanship and didn’t come
from your school’s freedom board.
Katie: Don’t take it seriously, Monie. You know I’m a goofball. That’s just a joke, you know.
Simone: I guess it’s nothing when all I can see in your room are sketches of clothes not
landscapes. Katie, just tell me. (Simone sat beside Katie.) I’ll understand.
Katie: You know I can’t be even if I wanted too. I have to meet up mom and dad’s expectations,
I can’t let them down. They expect so much more from me and they have this living dream for
me, for us. I don’t have a choice but to do what they want.
Simone: But isn’t yours much more important? You’re their daughter. The best one in town.
Parents would wish for them to have a child just like you. Loving, caring, passionate, smart.
Supporting you on what you want is a token of appreciation for all you have done for them.
Katie: But they have more sacrifices for me. Being the best daughter I can be is the only way I
could repay their lifelong sacrifices and care. I can’t be at my best if I let them down.
Simone: You can be at your best if you succeeded in your dream. Katie, you’re not living for
them. Yes, they take care of you, but in the end, all you can have is yourself. Most people
regret not doing what they love than making their family disappointed. They die full of regrets
and “I should have.” You can be whatever you want if you’re passionate enough for it.
Katie: What if I don’t have enough passion for it? What if—
Simone: Which one are you less passionate about? Architecture? Or the fashion industry?
Simone: See. You wanted it. You have always wanted it. I know you do. You have this talent in
designing, and designing your own fate shouldn’t be hard for you. You could have always
weave the path you’ve been searching for, for so long. Failure should be the least of your
worries. Katie, you have so much potential to bring. I know some people who didn’t make it big
because they’re too afraid. I don’t want you to end up like that.
Simone: Let’s just say that, I know a person who regretted following the tradition of their family.
She’s so sad about it but she can’t do anything about it anymore. So will you do it, will you tell
them?

Scene 10
It was night and everyone is having their own leisure time on their own. Katie saw this
opportunity to tell her parents. She went to the balcony of their house to see Andrew and Cecile
and took a deep breath. She recalled what Simone told her the other day.
Katie: I am the designer of my own fate, I could weave my path I’ve always been searching for.
You can do this Katie. It’s now or never.
Andrew then sat up and placed the papers he’s reading on the coffee table.
Andrew: That’s great! So which one my princess picked? Landscape or interior designing?
Cecile and Andrew's eyes met again. Cecile then looked to Katie grabbing Katie’s hands. All of
them frowned their faces and Katie’s now fighting her tears back.
Cecile: Andrew, calm down. You must be just confused. We’ll give you more time to
reconsider.
Katie: I’m not confused, mom. I’m certain that this is what I really want. I really want to be a
fashion designer. Having my own events and fashion weeks. Seeing my designs worn by
models on a runway. Seeing my name along with the professional designers, I want to be like
that! I want to—
Andrew: No! You’re going to be nothing but an architect! Don’t be so ambitious and delusional,
Katherine! You think you’re going to be successful doing that pointless fashion designing??
Cecile: Katie, you should really consider your decisions. You wouldn’t know if you’d be really
happy or successful doing that. At least when you become an architect, you can have us when
you’re having a hard time.
Katie: But this is what I really want. Why can’t you just support me? I don’t mind if I don’t
become famous or successful immediately. I just want to do what I really love.
Andrew: Because we don’t have a daughter who disobeys their parents! If you want to be a
disappointment then fine!
Andrew: No! This is my house and I can say what I want! Where did you even got the audacity
to rebel against us? Did Jacob tell you that you can do things on your own? Did that new friend
of yours influence you to defy us who worked hard just to give you a favorable life?
Katie: No!
Andrew: Then who? Simone? You believed in her poisonous words that you can? She can’t
even do things for herself!
Andrew: Stop with that nonsense! It’s either you obey us or do whatever the hell you want!
Just remember that you’re going to get out of my house if you choose the latter.
Cecile: Andrew, this is going too far! Scold her but don’t cast her aside and disown her! She’s
still your daughter!
Andrew: I don’t care! If she doesn’t care about what we think, then fine. Have it her way.
Cecile: Katie, please, please, please. Just follow us. I can’t have you going on the streets
finding a place to stay. You can do fashion, but just a hobby. Please, Katie… please.
Katie: No! I’m tired of being a slave in this house! I’m tired of being a puppet for your own
success!

Katie is now packing things in her bag. She grabbed anything she thinks she needs and she
brought all her art materials. She was about to get her sketch pads but her illustration of a
public park design that she drew years ago grabbed her attention. She then just grabbed her
journals and threw the sketch at the trash. Simone then came in.
Simone: It’s my fault. I’m the one who persuaded you. I’ll tell them.
Katie: I’ve always wanted to break free from their expectations. And I’m not just doing this for
me. I know you wanted to be a designer, but you were afraid to tell them.
Simone: No, Katie. If you’re doing this mainly for me, you shouldn’t go.
Katie: This isn’t just about us. I have a lot of reasons. But you’re one of them. You were the one
who told me I could pave the path I’ve been looking for. This might be hard, but nothing is easy.
Simone walked toward Katie and hugged her. They hugged each other for at least a minute.
Simone: I’ll be watching out for you. Mom and I will be watching out for you.

Katie and Crystal were cleaning the apartment they’re living in. Crystal then saw a letter under
the throw pillows.
Crystal: What’s this? Hey, Katie do you own this? (Crystal raised the envelope)
Katie: Yeah.
Crystal gently opened the letter and neatly placed the envelope by the side table.
Crystal: Dear Katie, I know it has been months since the last time we talked to each other. I
just couldn’t sneak out to you. Dad’s always looking out if I meet up with you. I don’t want to get
you into trouble so, I didn’t bother to visit you yet. I had this chance to send you a letter through
Jacob. He's a smart boy so, we didn't have a hard time meeting up. How are you though? Are
you eating fine? Did you pass your exams? I’m sure you did and I’m sure that you’re already in
the middle of your first semester. How was university? Did you already make friends? Do you
have an admirer? I hope you could tell me about your days at university. I miss your loud,
echoing voice. Home feels empty without you. I hope you could come back soon. Please don’t
forget that I love you. Sincerely yours, Monie. Your sister must have missed you so much. Are
you planning on replying?
Katie just looked down on her feet, she then resumed her cleaning.
Simone came in holding a bag of goods. Katie and Simone just stared at each other but Crystal
broke the awkward silence.
Crystal: I think we'll leave you both alone. Come on, Jacob.
Jacob: Alright.
Both Crystal and Jacob left and Katie offered Simone a seat.
Simone: No, I'm fine, thank you. So, how are you?
Katie: I'm alright here. Everyone’s nice to me. I just read the letter you gave me, by the way.
How come you're here, though?
Simone: Oh, the letter. Jacob must’ve given it late. I'm at the dormitory so, it was easy for me
to sneak into here.
Katie: Dad doesn’t have anything attached to you so he could track you down just in case?
Simone: I’m not that dumb to let him do that to me. Besides, that has something else to worry
about this month. He wouldn’t bother that much.
Simone: Oh, this. Mom and I thought to give you some necessities and a new journal. In case
you've used all your pages. And your birthday had passed and we didn't celebrate it. So, this is
like a gift, but I have something else for you.
Katie sat down the floor and watched Simone pull out something from her bag.
Simone: This is my favorite necklace. This necklace makes me feel safe whenever I feel alone
or sad. It's like a sanctuary for me. This was also the necklace you used to sneak out when you
were little. So, I thought that you'd love to have this.
Simone: I'm already old enough to believe that a necklace will make me feel safe. But I guess
that is your thing. You have a wild imagination after all. You don't have to wear it if you don't
want to. Here. (Simone gave the bag and the necklace.) I hope you liked our gift.
Katie: I appreciate it. (Katie smiles) Can I use this as a bracelet instead?
Simone: Of course. That’s a convertible necklace actually. Sorry but, I need to go. I just came
here to give it the gift to you, personally.
Katie: It’s alright. But, Simone. Please promise me that this will never be your last visit.
Simone: I promise.

Simone: I promise that someday all will do in your favor. It will be in your favor, not soon, but
definitely will if you believe hard enough. Because the magic of the starts will hear you. I’ll help
you. Mom will too. Jacob and Crystal. And when you close your eyes, it’s not the shadow I’ll
see. It’s your golden irises. I promise.
Scene 15
Andrew: Simone, where are you going? It’s Saturday, you have no classes.
Simone: Oh, I’ll just buy new materials. My stock just recently run out.
Simone: If I ever what? If I ever talk to my struggling little sister you’ll kick me out too? Oh,
come on, dad. How fragile can your pride be?
Andrew: Since when did you learn to talk back to me? Have you ever forgotten that I’m still
your father and you’re living under my property?
Simone: Why do you always have to brag about your “property” to us? Well, thanks dad for
giving us the privilege! You gave us everything that it’ll cost us our everything to keep yours. It
was never our choice to live in a grand house. And can you please explain why I can’t talk to
my sister?
Andrew: I did everything and sacrificed everything just to give you a great life! You don’t know
how much suffering I’ve went through just to get you here! Your sister threw that away and I
could never forgive her!
Simone: You must be really kidding me? First of all, Katie wanted just to follow her dreams and
you tried to strip that away from her. She didn’t do that just because she’s a good for nothing,
ungrateful daughter. It’s just you who disregarded her feelings and actual dream. She was
supposed to do it for you to repay all your sacrifices and what did you do? You disowned her.
You know what? I admit it. I’ve been meeting up with her whenever I can for the past years.
Andrew: How dare you disobey me! Say that again and I’ll--
Simone: You’ll disown me too and kick me out of your property? Go ahead! That’s all you can
do when you can’t control people. I did my duty as a daughter, I became an architect, I work
now. Katie did the same thing. You’re just blinded by your sweet success and you can’t
appreciate our own hard work. Too bad you became blind before you even get old. If you’ll
excuse me, I have business to do.
Andrew: Simone!
Simone: Oh, before I could forget. The one you disowned and exiled out of your property,
she’s slowly making her way up. We’re celebrating her success tomorrow. You can join us if
you decided to lower your pride down but I doubt.
Andrew: Why would I meet somebody that invalidates my sacrifices for their own benefit. I
never knew that this would happen. If only I restricted them more, maybe she’ll never rebel. All I
wanted was for them to never feel as a failure.

Katie had never been so productive in her entire life. But this time, she was all motivated and
inspired. She’s with Jacob, both of them are studying.
Jacob: What?
Katie: This might be the best day of my life! I feel so blessed and fortunate. This feels like it
won’t ever end.
Katie: Why do you always insert things like that? The answer is no.
Jacob: Well that’s great! You’re so close on achieving your dream. So, where will Monie take
us?
Katie: Us? What do you mean ‘us’? It’s just me and her. Nobody else.
Katie: We never do this. So, she wants to have it just between me and her. Besides, I’ll take
you both somewhere tomorrow. I swear.
Jacob: You promised, you can’t take it back anymore.I also recorded that so you can't use the
“I can’t remember I said that” excuse.
Katie: Yeah, yeah. What about you? Any news about your grades? Where’s Crystal?
Katie: What a smug. I gotta go, I still need to prepare myself. Tell Crystal I’ll be coming home

on their table. As she was about to call the waiter, Simone came with Cecile.
Cecile: Congratulations with your success! What kind of job did you get?
Katie: It’s not a job actually. The company offers a program where their applicants can get a
specialization on fashion designing.
Katie: Haute Couture. And if I topped their expectations, they’ll give me an opportunity to have
my own exhibit and be part of their prestigious fashion week.
Simone: Are they always using fancy French terms? Thank God, I didn’t took fashion
designing.
Katie: Not really. But you can if you would like to.
Cecile: Katie, why do you keep on looking at the back? Are you waiting for someone?
Simone: If your waiting for him, stop it. He’ll never come.
Katie: I was just hoping that dad would be at least outside there to see me. Did you ask him to
come…?
Simone: I told him about this but I didn’t ask him to come ‘cause he’ll never will. I just hate how
he-- never mind.
Cecile: What he said is never important. What’s important is your persevering. He’ll someday
learn to accept.

Katie’s busy with her phone, talking to Simone. Crystal then showed up .holding a plastic of
food.
Crystal: Hey, Katie, I have something for us. Jacob gave this to me. He said that he’ll be here
later. (Katie didn’t answer) Katie? Are you listening?
Katie: Yeah, she said she can’t meet up with me this week. She’s taking precautions since
father almost caught up that night?
Crystal: Well that’s unfortunate, but you’ll definitely meet up with her soon. Cheer-up rebel.
You still have portfolios to finish. Eat up.
Crystal: Katie, you haven’t eaten anything these past few days. All you do is lock yourself, cry,
and snatch some rice bars for meals. Are you planning on killing yourself? What are you even
crying for?
Katie: I’m fine don’t mind me. This month’s just beating me up, but I’m fine.
Crystal just sighed and brought out the food. Jacob then came in.
Jacob: Good morning! It’s such a nice day, isn’t it? But I guess it isn’t in this apartment. Why
are you both look so gloomy? The sun’s high up in the sky!
Crystal: She won’t eat. And all she does is wake up, draw, cry, and sleep.
Jacob: Are you planning to get thin like the models? ‘Cause if you are, I’m sorry to say that
you’re too small to be a model and you’d look like a zombie if you get thinner.
Katie: I just want to be alone. (Katie stood and went to the door) I’ll be just here sleeping if you
need me.
Crystal: She’s been like that for a week. Ever since she came home late, all she did is that.
She always says that she’s sad because they almost got caught in the act the nigh they met..
But I think it’s more than that. Something still related to her family. You might know, did her
sister mentioned anything?
Jacob: The last time I met with Monie was three weeks ago. That was one and a half weeks
before they ate dinner outside.
Crystal: Hasn’t Katie mentioned anything about her parents? Especially her mom? She could
tolerate her father, but her mom? She’d bawl her eyes out for her mother.
Jacob: I saw ms. Cecile last Tuesday and she look totally fine. Still gorgeous even. Maybe it’s
because it’s hell week and Katie’s already burnt out.
Crystal: I do hope so that it’s just about her requirements. She looks like a personified panda.
Jacob: She’ll be fine. We’re here to look after her after all. So, will you eat that or…
Crystal: Then I’ll pay you. Her father, by the way. Has he tried to at least check on her
daughter’s whereabouts? Katie’s graduating college and I never did hear anything from him.
Jacob: Her dad’s heart is as hard as a rock. Harder even. He just can’t accept the fact that
Katie disobeyed him. I think he vowed that once Katie came with us, she’d be disowned.
Katie woke up late in the evening and started to do her portfolios. Her eyes were still red from
crying. She then saw the food that Crystal left with a note. Katie grabbed the note and read it.
Katie: “Cheer up, Katie. The moon is high up above and is waiting to see your tears
disappear.”
Katie: Why am I even crying for? I should be focused on my projects. My goal should make
them proud of what I decided to take as a career. Crying won’t help in any way. I’ll make dad
proud.
And the salt in my wounds isn't burning any more than it used to
It's not that I don't feel the pain, it's just I'm not afraid of hurting anymore
And the blood in these veins isn't pumping any less than it ever has
And that's the hope I have, the only thing I know that's keeping me alive
Alive
Scene 20
Katie now is preparing for her first ever exhibition
Jacob: Yep, all neat and clean. All it needs is it for happen.
Jacob: Looks like you’re high as the sun now. Getting way up there faster than expected.
Jacob: Well, that’s hanks to me. Getting adopted by me was probably your best choice.
Katie: What on earth are you talking about? You barely did anything. Beside it was Crystal who
took me.
Jacob: I drove the car on the way to Crystal’s apartment so, it was all because of me.
Simone came in
Jacob left.
Katie: Can you also invite dad for tomorrow? I’ve been thinking that I should say sorry to him. I
want to end all the pain, you know? It’s fine if he doesn’t forgive me. As long as I said sorry, I’m
contented with it. Please?
Simone: Sure.
Katie: If you can’t tell him give this letter. That way, he’ll know I’m genuine

Simone: Katie wants to tell you something. *gives out the letter* She wants you to attend her
exhibit tomorrow. Listen, I’m sorry with all with I have done in the past. Sorry I was harsh with
my words. But, dad. Katie’s waiting for you. If you don’t want to go it’s fine by her. But just meet
her once. That’s all what she want. I’m sure that you don’t want to be like your professor back
then. Not believing on the risk takers and full of hatred and disappointments. There’s more to
life than that, dad.
Simone then stood.

Cecile: Hon, can you reach the paper for me? Andrew?
Cecile: It was a success. A lot of people admires her and her works. Katie has come so far,
Andrew. All your sacrifices has paid off. All you fears and worries, Katie made it through, Monie
did also. I could never thank them enough for all their sacrifices and achievements.
Cecile: You can definitely. Katie wanted to. She always did.
Cecile: Andrew, she doesn’t mind it all. She gave you a letter, yes? Then that means you can,
and she’ll be open to your explanations and apologies. Just do it, can you please? She has a
celebration tomorrow. You should definitely come.
