as well as Zet 9 software & jigsaw V.2.0, better to do yourself the job
to find the prenatal chart than to use a software to do that,
time of delivery; 1 month earlier If the 8th houses from lagna &
Atmakaraka are weak, or if jupiter & moon are in the 5th, or If
benefics are in the 8 house in strength. If both benefics and malefic
influences the eighth houses from lagna & Atmakarak the delivery is
in the normal period. If malefics are in the eighth or if the eighth is
strong, the pregnancy is delayed. (Jaimini upadesa sutras_S.Rath).
to resume; the 8th houses from lagna & Atmakaraka in the
conception chart indicate the longevity of pregnancy.

normal delivery; if 2nd & 9th houses are strong, or if the Moon and
Jupiter are in 3,9,10 or 11th houses.
(the Pre Natal Epoch is based on the cycles of the Moon and takes
8-10 lunations for childbirth, not 9 solar months. Hence the Moon,
rather than the Sun, becomes the beat of time used to measure
childbirth)
#2_PREGNANCY
HOW TO DETERMINE THE GESTATION PERIOD FROM THE
BIRTH CHART
The general rule adopted from ancient astrologers states that the
duration of pregnancy is shorter if the Moon in the birth chart is
above the horizon and longer if the Moon in the birth chart is below
the horizon has not been found 100% reliable. Although this rule
does produce results that are statistically significant, its correctness
falls too short for the rule to be a thumb rule. so take the table bellow

falls too short for the rule to be a thumb rule. so take the table bellow
under reservation.
moon moves roughly 1º every 2 hours or 12º for 24hrs, theoretically,
if moon conjunct exactly asc. or 7th cusp in birth chart, then
conception happened exactly 273 days before,
actually 1 moon revolution is 27 days, 7hrs., 21mn. X 10 lunar
months= 273 days, 1hr. 30mn.= mean/ medium period
maximum period and Min. period cannot be more than 0.5 moon
revolutions (13 days, 15 hrs, 40 mn, 30 sec.)
so normal gestation must be within 260 to 286 days
saravali says: The natal Moon can be in the 10th from Adhana
Moon. This view is held by many Acaryas. According to Badarayana
(Vyasa or his father Parasara?), the natal ascendant will be in the
7th from Adhana Lagna and natal Moon will be in the 7th from
Adhana Moon. (similar to Hermes, Egyptians, Babylonians and
Greeks)
Saravali adds more details; the sign where the moon is in
Dwadasamsa (D12) at conception will be the sign where the moon
will be transiting at delivery (in D1, & within around 10th lunar month
=/- 13 days)
_so reverse should hold true as well, that is; the sign occupied by
moon at delivery should be the same sign occupied by moon in D12
during conception.
Jaimini Upadesa sutras & Jataka parijata 3-43 says similar
statements; check the degree of the moon position in a sign at
conception, which dwadasamsa it occupies (1 to 12, in increment of
2º30’ ), add this 1 to 12 number to the sign of the moon at
conception; you get the sign of the moon (or its trine) at delivery. For
example, in a conception chart, the Moon was at Aquarius
29°15'36” (in 12th dwadasamasa) counting 12 signs from Aquarius is
sagittarius, so birth will be in Sagittarius or it’s trines (fiery Aries of
Leo)
from”Jyotish_Brihat jataka P_S_Sastri_2007” p.55; Divya
resume Varaha Mihira;
_find the sign occupied by the moon from the moon position in
the conception chart_in in conception chart; see how many
dashamsas the moon have passed in the D1 conception chart (moon
longitude in the sign / 2º30’= number 1 to 12), add that number to the
moon sign number in D1 conception chart ; it will indicate the sign
occupied by the moon at delivery.
moon sign number in D1 conception chart ; it will indicate the sign
occupied by the moon at delivery.
_reversely, to find in which Dasamsha portion the moon was at
conception; take the number of the sign occupied by the moon at
delivery, subtract the number of the likely sign occupied by the moon
at conception (+/- 270 days before), = the result should show how
many dasamsas the moon is its conception chart_if the result is
negative then you probably have to put the moon in previous sign at
conception.
_find birth time from conception; lagna in sheershoday or
prishtodaya in D9 = day birth or night birth; 1 navamsa= 1day or
1night, the lagna degree position in D9 will indicate proportionately
how much time after sunrise or sunset birth will take place.
reversely, to find in which Navamsa portion the lagna was at
conception; calculate how much % of day or night have passed
from sunrise or sunset to birth; that will show the % of the degree
position of the lagna in the navamsa in the conception chart (3º20’ or
200’ in D1= 30º or 1800” in D9) and if it was a sheershodaya or
prishtodaya sign.
Notes: Gemini, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio & Aquarius = Shirshodaya .
Aries, Taurus, Cancer, Sagittarius & Capricorn = Prishtodaya
_Pisces =Ubhayodaya sign.

#3_DELIVERY, BIRTH.
_If the sign of ascendant at the time of conception is one which rises
from the head, the delivery will be from head; if it is one which rises
with the hinder part first, the delivery will be from the feet first and if
the sign is both (Ubhayodaya) the delivery will be from the hands
first, if the ascendant is aspected by benefics the delivery will be
normal.
Notes: Gemini, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio & Aquarius = Shirshodaya .
Aries, Taurus, Cancer, Sagittarius & Capricorn = Prishtodaya
_Pisces =Ubhayodaya sign.
Father present or not at delivery, birth of child;
_from birth chart_if Sun is in a movable sign, the father will be in a
foreign country, if in a fixed sign, he will be in his own country and if
in a dual sign, he will be travelling,……. but not able to be present if
malefics are in malefic signs (i.e.1 ,5,8, 10 and l11) and are located
in the 2nd, 5th, 7th and 9th houses from Sun,
malefics are in malefic signs (i.e.1 ,5,8, 10 and l11) and are located
in the 2nd, 5th, 7th and 9th houses from Sun,
_(for night birth most likely) if the ascendant is not under the
aspected by Moon, the birth will be in the absence of father and if
Sun is in 9th or 8th houses in movable sign, the father will be in the
province but will not be present at the child’s birth.
_(for night birth most likely) Father is not present in the house at the
time of delivery also, if Saturn is in 1st house or Mars in 7th, or
when the Moon is between Mercury and Venus or Moon, Mercury
and Venus occupy one sign.
_jataka parijata further says; The Sun at a day birth and Saturn at
a night birth, if aspected by Mars, indicate the absence of the father
_Phaladeepika; birth on son expected from one’s birth chart (male?)
_during the Dasa or Apahara of any one of the 6 planets. viz., (1) the
lord of the Lagna, (2) the lord of the 7th, (3) the lord of the 5th, (4)
Jupiter, (5) the planet aspecting the 5th house or (6) the one
occupying the 5th house or when Jupiter in D1 transits the sign of
the navamsa dispositor of the 5th lord or Yamakantaka.
_or during the transit of the lagna lord to his exaltation, own house,
5th house with 5th lord or sign occupied by 5th lord
_Men will generally have the birth of a son when Jupiter in the
course of his orbit passes through a Rasi trine to the sign
representing the Rasi or Amsa occupied by the planet owning the 5th
house reckoned from Jupiter
