Martin says...

With Lick 8 I took some inspiration from Steve Morse. The first bit is a little string skipping
sequence with some chromatic passing tones (heavily muted), that Steve tends to use a lot.
It moves on with a few Country-esque bends and some of his typical chromatic lines that
accent the important notes of the underlying chord right on the crucial beats within the bar.
