METHODOLOGY

The researchers thought of a way to speak up to people to tell them that the

world won’t become better unless they do something about it. The researchers

will discuss the methods and patterns used for the methodology.

Research Design

The researchers used descriptive-comparative survey design to determine the

significant difference between the impacts of environmental awareness to their

sanitation practices

Research Respondents

The respondents of this study were 33 Senior high school students from Grade

12 of Davao Jomes Academy for school year 2018 – 2019 there were 17 male

and 16 female students.

Research Instrument

The instrument used to gather data in the study is a researcher-made

questionnaire which consists of two parts. The first part dealt with the
respondent’s profile age, sex and ecological status. The second part dealt with

the impacts of environmental awareness to the sanitation practices of students

the mode of response was evaluated with the use of 1-5 rating scale.

Research Procedure

The research used a researcher-made questionnaire. The questionnaire went

through the face of validation by the help of experts. The researchers sent a

letter of to the DJA Principal Nestoria A. Llimosnero, to ask approval to conduct the

study. After the approval was sought, the researchers determined and selected

the respondents. This followed with the administration of the questionnaire. The

data were collected, tabulated, analyzed and interpreted. The remarks and

suggestions of validators were considered in the revision.

Statistical Treatment

The study used frequency and percentage for the respondent’s profile. Weighted

mean was utilized to determine the impacts of environmental awareness to the

sanitation practices of junior high school students the researchers used analysis

of variance (ANOVA) to show comparison of the effects to the respondent’s

profile as to age and ecological status

T-test was also utilized to determine extent of effects in terms of sex.
