Goal 1:

Student will complete an individualized special project which benefits their agency.

Objectives:

1. After discussion with my agency supervisor, I will develop five (5) ideas for an
individual project to benefit Bend Park & Recreation District (BPRD) by the third
week of the internship experience.
2. By the end of the internship experience I will complete the special project
approved by my agency supervisor and identify a minimum of two ways my work
has benefited BPRD.

Goal 2:

Student will gain experience following the APIE process with participants.

Objectives:

1. With the guidance of my agency supervisor, I will identify a minimum of two (2)
participants from both the adult and youth programs (total of 4) to follow the APIE
process with by the sixth week of the internship experience.
2. By the end of the internship experience I will document the APIE process for
each selected individual with the assistance of my agency supervisor.

Goal 3:

Student will design and facilitate a variety of sessions for BPRD programs.

Objectives:

1. After approval from the agency supervisor, I will develop five (5) session designs
for BPRD programs by the end of the internship experience.
2. Upon completion of the internship experience, I will facilitate each of my
designed sessions for BPRD participants as observed by the agency supervisor.

Goal 4:

Student will conduct an in-service training presentation for fellow staff members.
Objectives:

1. During a meeting with the agency supervisor I will present a minimum of five (5)
ideas for in-service staff training within the Therapeutic Recreation department at
BPRD during the first week of the internship experience.
2. By the end of the third week of the internship experience I will deliver my
in-service training presentation to fellow staff members, lasting between 20 and
45 minutes, as approved and observed by the agency supervisor.
