Description:
 One of the most enigmatic species of freshwater turtles
in Southeast Asia.
 The largest and heaviest Geoemididae turtle know from
the Philippines.
 It is known to be extremely sensitive to stress and has
high requirements in captive environment when it
comes to reproduction.
 The Palawan forest turtle (Siebenrockiella leytensis)
which is native to the Philippines, is a highly sought-
after and yet little-known species in the illegal wildlife
trade.
