Topic: Swimming in Glory
Text: Isaiah 60:1-3
What does Happy New Year mean? It tells you that we are a year closer to the end of our journey in
life.
The moment a child is born, the journey to the grave begins. Your time to go home may come
anytime. You must decide for God urgently.
2019 is a serious year; you can't afford to play with God.
Glory is the opposite of shame. Glory is intrinsically associated with light and the Almighty God is
called the King of glory. Psalm 24:7-10
He is also the Father of light. James 1:17
His glory is so overwhelming, the Heavenly Jerusalem has no need for any other source of light.
Revelation 21:10-23
The link between glory and light is absolute and complete. Light is useless unless it shines! You
must purposefully shine your light. Matthew 5:15
I decree unto you; you will shine this year.
To shine means to confront darkness. Genesis 1:1-4
Light and darkness are about to collide because of your shining; you must deliberately shine this
year.
Swimming involves some level of skill. Zechariah 4:6 Be of good cheer, you have a ready Teacher in
God. Philippians 4:13
To swim, you have to first shed your outfit, meaning that you should shed every weight that would
hold you down. Hebrews 12:1, Romans 13:12
After taking off your clothes, you must then put on your swimming gear, which is the armour of God.
Ephesians 2:11-13, 4:24-25
Prayer Points
1. Praise the King of Glory with all your heart.
2. In the mighty name of Jesus, I am the light of the world. I will shine brightly this year.
3. In the mighty name of Jesus, I will destroy the hold of forces of darkness on my family this year.
4. In the mighty name of Jesus, every lion, every bear, every Goliath that come my way this year are
dead.
5. In the mighty name of Jesus, I will reach the mountaintop this year.
6. In the mighty name of Jesus, my life will draw thousands away from the Kingdom of Satan thi year
into the Kingdom of Jesus.

Topic: Swimming in Glory
Text: Isaiah 60:1-3
The glory of the Lord is synonymous to light. You can only arise and shine if your light is come. Until
you're following Jesus Christ totally, you're in darkness. No Jesus, no glory.
Arise means different things for different people:
1. In terms of death;
- To someone physically dead, arise means to resurrect. Mark 5:35-43
- To one who is mentally dead, arise means come back to your right mind. Mark 5:2-15
- To one who is financially dead, arise means to be debt free. 2 Kings 4:1-7
- To one who is maritally dead, arise means to come back to life. Romans 4:17-20
- To one who is spiritually dead, arise means come out of sin. Ephesians 2:1
Death is symbolic of hopelessness. Job 14:7-10, John 11:20-25
- Arise means to refuse to surrender to hopelessness.
2. In terms of movement;
- Arise to the one sleeping means 'wake up!' 1 Samuel 26:4-16. Sleep refers to motion without
progress and unfulfilled dreams. It is the time the enemy usually strikes. Matthew 13:24-28
The command to arise is a proclamation of the resurrection power; an infusion of life.
- To the one sitting, arise means 'stand up!' Sitting means to rest too soon. 1 Kings 13:1-35
Many Christians are seated, thinking they have arrived. To be seated means you used to be
relevant, but you're now a relic. 1 Samuel 10:1, 16:4, Luke 15:11-19
It doesn't matter what the enemy may try, there will be no mourning in your family this year.
- To the one standing, arise means jump to action. 1 Samuel 16:11-13
- Arise means stop being stagnant. 2 Kings 7:1-11. Peter took a step away from stagnation and
walked on water. Matthew 14:23-29
- To the one standing, arise means to take steps to maximize the potentials within you. Greater is He
that is in you than he that is in the world, but you have to arise first. Take that step!
- To the one walking, arise means start running. 1 Samuel 17:39-49
Daddy says; I have destroyed destroyers before; I'll do it again.
Running means accelerate your promotion.
- To the one who is already running, arise means begin to fly. Isaiah 40:31, Acts 8:26-40. The Holy
Spirit can take you to heights never imagined.
Daddy says; Since I'm the One building you, every effort to frustrate you will fail.
- To someone already flying, arise means to move from glory to glory. 2 Corinthians 3:18, Acts 3:1-8,
5:14-16.
