Important Note while reading the slokas & Pa:surams - The symbol “ : ” indicates long vowel
pronunciation
During Dhanur ma:sam days regular a:ra:dhana should be finished upto ashto:ththaram. Then
dhu:pa, di:pa, a:chamana services, and Ve:da sa:nthi and regular Prabandham of Upade:sa
ratnama:la: should be chanted. Then A Preparation called “HAVIS” ( pongal ) has to be offered to
the deities. While offering the Ha:rathi, sa:nthi of Upade:sa Ratnama:la: ( satthu murai) is done.
Go:da:de:vi should be offered a special seat in front of the a:ra:dhana. After offering arghyam
etc., services, offering Ha:rathi, Go:da’s thaniyan should be chanted ( ni:la:thunga……..). After
that, Go:da Ashto:thharam is chanted, followed by offering some fruits or some prasa:dam.

Pa:suramas upto 28th should be chanted during the Se:va:ka:lam. Then The Maha:prasa:dam ( Ra:ja
bho:gam) is offered. Then, while offering Ha:rathi, 24th song is chanted, followed by regular
Mangalasasana slo:kas. ( Lakshmi: charana...........Sath krutha:ya:sthu mangalam )
Last 2 pa:surams should be chanted as Sa:ththu Murai. Then, the Pa:suram of the day is chanted.
Thi:rththa Go:shti, followed by prasa:da goshti will be done while chanting the following thiru
namas.

Now, Go:da: chathus slo:ki & Ranga Na:ththa stho:thram may be chanted, followed by
bhajans.
