1.00 – 1.30 Dee Sign BSL Choir – Anne Hesketh, Director of Dee Sign Choir
Originally formed in 1977 “Dee Sign” Choir performs in British Sign Language for the Deaf to music.
The Choir is made up of parents of Deaf Children, BSL Students, & members of the local Deaf
Community. This Choir has won several awards and in 2012 were awarded the Queens Award for
Voluntary Service; they came 1st in the National Signing Choir Competition in 2017
* This session was inspired by the Oscar-winning film “The Silent Child”and the fact that most of us
know someone who has impaired hearing
