Cutting Section

Mainely cutting section being fabric cut into components (shapes or patterns of different garment
parts, i.e. front, back, side panel, sleeve, collar, front and back panel, etc.). In garment industry they
are using advances technology in cutting section. however, not all industry are using advance
technology. They using different technique for different fabric in cutting section while looking for
ergonomic problem and solution.

Common Problems:
Band saw: Due to exceed height of table, reaching caused by unsuitable workstation height.
Improper width of table due to debility to get close to the blade, Poor worthless system. Protection
is the problem with this technique
Die Cutter: To required more operator to work with raised arms. Smooth workstation to
required low bend down. To manage often poor thumb position. To required lot of potential to
pulling when feeding the fabric into die cutter.
Automatic cutters:, Rarely it is difficult and required unsightly position, to align the fabric being fed
into the automatic cutter. Controls are not accessible and do not encourage operators to advance
the fabric to the end of the table, which would cut the amount of reaching. The tracks that the
automatic cutters move along create a tripping hazard.
Possible Solution:
Band saw: The table can at suitable height and the operator should be able to reach the blade
without extending arms.
Die cutters: A perfect height for cutting surface is many inches down elbow height.
