Prof.

Manoj Dixit Sir , is a renowned academic administrator and an reputed expert in the field of
Tourism Management, Administrative theory and Public Policy, has taken over as the Vice-
Chancellor, Dr RAM Manohar Lohia Avadh University, Ayodhya. Prior to joining Avadh University, he
served as a professor and head of Department of public administration, at university of Lucknow (it
is the oldest department of public administration in India, established in 1963). He has held the
positions of Director, Institute of Tourism Studies, University of Lucknow, (Lucknow) Adjunct
Professor, School of Political Science and Public Administration, University of Science and
Technology of China,( 2011 -2014) Researcher, School of Political Science and Public Administration,
University of Science and Technology of China, since 2013 onwards. General Secretary, Alumnae
Society of University of Lucknow and numerous other administrative positions in University of
lucknow.
An inspiring teacher and mentor of research, Prof. dixit has guided 40 Ph.D. scholars. He believes in
staying in touch with students through class room teaching while taking care of all his
responsibilities.
