behalf of the Department of Civil Engineering to the seminar on “Introduction to
Research Methodology ”. It is both an honor and a privilege to stand before you

SH: Now I would like to request Mr Sajedur Rahman Mishuk sir, senior lecturer,
Department of Civil Engineering, to give away the welcome speech.

SH: As we all know, today this seminar is arranged on “Introduction to research
methodology”. Now, I would like to introduce our keynote speaker Professor Dr.
MD. Reaz Akter Mullick sir, Professor, Department of Civil Engineering and
Chairman, Center for River, harbor and landslide research, Chittagong University of
Engineering and technology. Dr. Reaz obtained MSc in Environmental Sanitation
from University of Gent, Belgium. Afterwards, he pursued his PhD in Water
Engineering & Management from Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand.

LN: Dr. Reaz has extensive research experiences over Environmental Management,
Sustainable Development, Water Supply and Sanitation, Drinking water treatment and
Supply, Solid Waste Management, and Environmental Flow and so on. Now Without
further ado, let us welcome Dr. MD. Reaz Akter Mullick sir to start today’s seminar
with a huge round of applause.

SH: We have been listening to eminent speaker deliberating in the areas of

Introduction to research methodology”. Thank you Sir for such an informative
seminar. I think such a seminar will help all the participants in their future research.
All these valuable insights gave us a new perspective that one should adopt while
discussing these issues.

LN: I would like to request our Chair of today’s session, Chairman of the Civil
Engineering Department to come forth along with our Honorable Chief Guest,
