Click Insert ▶ Advanced ▶ Flatten Quilt. The FLATTEN QUILT dialog box opens.

Select a source quilt to flatten

Select a datum point on the quilt to be the origin point. Two red arrows indicate the u-v
directions of the quilt

Solid Free Form:


Draw solid object
For ex: as shown in figure

 Click Insert ▶ Advanced ▶ Solid Free Form.


 Menu Manager open
 Select Pick Surf and Done
 Free Form dialog box open
 Select any one surface of the object
 Enter number of control curves in specified direction- 5  or

 Enter number of control curves in specified direction- 8  or

 Grids are shown in specified surface and Modify Surface

 Pick and drag points for changing solid surface
 Point movements are changed by changing the following
1. Movement Plane (first direction, second direction,
normal direction) The resulting object is
2. Region (first direction, second direction)

Surface Free Form:
Draw surface quilt

 Click Insert ▶ Advanced ▶ Surface Free Form.

 Select surface

N-sided Patch:
Draw surface object with number of sided

 Click Insert ▶ Advanced ▶ Conic Surface and N-sided Patch.

 Select N-sided Surf and Done.
 Surface: N-sided Menu and CHAIN OPT menu open
 Select number of edges of the surface and click ok
 Select base surface and Done
 Select Ok
 The resulting object is

Vertex Round:
It is used to trimming corner of quilt
Draw quilt as shown in figure
 Click Insert ▶ Advanced ▶ Vertex Round.
 Surface Trim: Vertex Round dialog box open The resulting quilt is
 Select quilt
 Select corners of quilt (with pressing ctrl) and select ok
 Enter Trimming Radius – 70  or
