TASK TWO: AN APPLICATION LETTER

You have seen the following job advertisement on today's newspaper.

Write a letter of application for the job. (180 words)

ISLAND CARETAKER
Looking for work? How about six months of island caretaking (i.e. tourism promoting) on
Magu-Magu Island in the Great Barrier Reef and a six-figure paycheck?

The agency is looking for strong communicators who can speak and write in English,
and says applicants should be adventurous, willing to try new things, passionate about
the outdoors, and a good swimmer who enjoys snorkelling/diving. Applicants will be
required to report back on their adventures to Tourism Queensland headquarters in
Brisbane (and the rest of the world) via weekly blogs, photo diary, video updates and
ongoing media interviews. Insurance, all travelling expenses and accommodation are
paid for plus a tax-free $100.000 annual income.
