English 1201

English has always been hard for me; however, the hardest section of 1201 would be

finding credible sources that were accurate for my essay. The information for my essay was

mostly not found in the Sinclair website due to there not being any articles in the database since

its such new information. The best part of the class was receiving feedback on a timely manner

that helped me later in other assignments for my essay. Personally, I will need to work revising

my papers after getting the information down. I have a hard time reading essays and seeing the

mistakes that need fixed. I would say my strengths include being able to get credible information

even if it is not in a database and being able to get everything needed for the paper written down.

Although, I need to work on grammar and the way it’s organized in the paper, so the reader does

not get lost.

As I evaluate my performance in English 1201, I feel very pleased with my work. I loved

that each student got to share their topic to the group to see what everyone was doing. I felt with

my topic that I almost got to educate the group through my research since it’s a hot topic. I

believe revising and organizing my essay would be the biggest things I need to work on.

However, I feel confident in the rest of the assignments I have completed for English 1201. As

far as my grade, I currently have a 96% in the class, which I suspect to go down after my final

research essay will be entered due to the mistakes I might have made. I would love to end the

semester with an A- or a B+, because of currently having a 96% and I’ve spent many hours

researching and writing for the assignments. I’ve learned how to grow as a reader through the

articles we had to read and then write about the information within them. I feel like I’ve became

a better critical thinker and learned to not just use block quotes to fill space, which is what I’ve

done in the past, I learned to use quotes that have meaning and elaborate on them.
