The eight climate zones used in Your Home are defined 1 Hot humid summer, warm winter
by the Building Code of Australia (BCA). Each climate Warm humid summer, mild winter

zone has distinctly different design and construction
requirements. Within each main zone are many regional 3 Hot dry summer, warm winter
sub-zones determined by local geographic features Hot dry summer, cool winter

including wind patterns and height above sea level. The
Nationwide House Energy Rating Scheme identifies 69 5 Warm temperate
of these sub-zones, which the BCA addresses and which Mild temperate

can be called up by postcode.
