PERHITUNGAN STERNTUBE

Stern tube merupakan tabung poros yang digunakan sebagai media pelumasan poros
propeller, dan bearing juga dapat berfungsi sebagai penyekat jika terjadi kebocoran air
laut ke kamar mesin. Pada perencanaan ini, sistem pelumasannya menggunakan sistem
pelumasan air laut. Perencanaan stern tube adalah sebagai berikut :

Jenis pelumasan pada poros propeller terdapat dua jenis, yaitu pelumasan dengan air
laut, dan pelumasan dengan minyak. Pada perencanaan kali ini menggunakan minyak.
