NARRATIVE REPORT

PRODUCT INNOVATION EXPO

JULY 25, 2019 II EIM WORKSHOP

The morning session commenced with an opening prayer led by Mr. Noel G.

Perez. and immediately followed by a key note message from the SHS Coordinator, Mr.

Richard C. Limsiaco. Afterwards, a dance number rendered by G11 Entrepreneur

students made the crowd alive.

An inspirational message was then given by the very lively and dynamic mother of

the academe, Dr. Mary Erma Grace D. Ussam, Principal III. She mentioned how thankful

and delighted she was for the perseverance and initiative bestowed by the SHS

Department, particularly the students and the teachers, in preparing everything in a matter

of two days to held this very purposeful and innovative activity. She also elaborated her

ideas on “Love begets love”.

To formally start the program, Mrs. Charmain Valero, Research Coordinator and

G11 Entrepreneur adviser, gives her opening remarks. She pointed out the importance

and the benefits of the said expo to our students and to their future craft as well. Ribbon

cutting was immediately witnessed by everyone to signal the opening of the different

booths.

Two set of competitions were prepared that made the event memorable: The

Product Innovative Expo and the “Palakat Tonong Batangueno”.

In Product Innovative Expo, participants were expected to showcase something

new and beneficial, where knowledge on Research and Science subjects are applied. On

the other hand, “Palakat Tonong Batangueno” was participated with a number of groups
from grade 11 and grade 12 of Senior High School which was tasked to make their

versions of an OPM song using the Filipino language known as “Lalawiganing Wika ng

Batangas”. The competition was to commemorate the “Buwan ng Wika” since it was a

week before the month of August.

The judges of both competitions namely: Mr. Noel G. Perez, Mr. Edwin Calaluan

and Mr. Joseph B. Birung were introduced by the vigorous SHS Guidance Advocate, Mrs.

Anabel A. Calaor. Then, another intermission number from Grade 12 Circuit was

presented.

After all the performances of contestants, the judges came up with unanimous

decision, the group which will bring the bacon.

This one day activity was wrapped up through awarding of certificates to all the

winners and participants of the Innovative Product presentation, Song Competition, and

Atomic Model Exhibit displayed in the electrical booth.

Truly, this one day event served as an opportunity to all the SHS students to

showcase their talents not only in singing, cooking different dishes and inventing different

models in their Science class, but also inspired them to be more diligent in performing

their duty as a mature and more responsible individual which denotes how the true

Naveran must be.

There was no dull moment and everything put into places due to the effort of a very

enthusiastic Master of Ceremony in the name of Mrs. Brenda R. Garcia. Although new

member of the SHS family showed her deepest concern and gratitude in accepting this

quite challenging task. With these, the whole SHS Department rest assured to everyone

that this activity will serve as a good start of a more fruitful journey of all the students of
NAVERA MIS Senior High School students. The program ended at exactly 4 o’clock in

the afternoon.
