ABSTRACT

The study was conducted to determine the awareness, understanding, and

acceptance of stakeholders of the Mandate, Vision, Mission, and Core Values of

the Catanduanes State University and Goals and Objectives of the College of

Engineering. Results of this study will provide insights for future policy making

undertakings to further improve the CSU quality management system in

accordance with the local and international standard. Descriptive – survey type of

research was utilized and a questionnaire to solicit data from stakeholders. To find

out the sample size per group for a survey, Slovene’s formula was utilized. Using

the formula, the study came up with the following sample sizes with their

respective category: BSCE – 145; BSCpE – 131; faculty – 110; non-teaching staff

– 119; other stakeholders - 159. A total of six hundred sixty-four (664)

respondents was included in the study. The results revealed that all of the

stakeholders are fully aware, understand accept the Mandate, Vision, Mission,

Goal and Core Values of the Catanduanes State University and Goal and

Objectives of the College of Engineering. Based from the positive result, there are

some recommendation to sustain the effective observation and application of the

core principles stated in the VMGO for a long-term satisfaction, awareness,

understanding and acceptance of its clientele and other stakeholders, and

strengthen the dissemination of the mandate, vision, mission, goal, and core

values of the CSU, the goal and objectives of the COE through innovate

techniques or strategies.
