Homemade Ranch Seasoning - Bake. Eat. Repeat.
Ingredients
1/2 cup buttermilk powder
2 tablespoons dried parsley
2 teaspoons dried dill
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons onion powder
2 teaspoons dried minced onion
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions
1. In a small bowl, stir together all the ingredients until combined.
2. If you prefer your ranch seasoning to be more finely blended, process the mixture
in a food processor or blender for 15-20 seconds.
3. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 months, or in the
freezer for up to 6 months.
To make dip:
1. Combine 1 tablespoon of the seasoning mix with 1/3 cup of sour cream (or Greek
yogurt) and 1/3 cup of mayonnaise.
To make dressing:
1. Combine 1 tablespoon of the seasoning mix with 1/3 cup of milk and 1/3 cup of
mayonnaise.
2. Thin the dressing with more milk to your desired consistency.
Notes
3 tablespoons of this mix is the same as a 1 ounce (28g) packet of ranch seasoning
mix.
Buttermilk powder can be a little tough to find, if you’re in Canada, I found it at Bulk
Barn. Look in the baking aisle at your store, some stores have it, near the skim milk
powder.
